6. he's my senator, Virginia had to suffer through far too many Macaca years. Let us keep
Jim Webb a while longer.

Ad while he would be a great addition, if he's her VP - I still will NOT vote for HRC.

11. Bingo!
Why the hell are we so eager to give up Senate seats?

Webb would be a good VP, I'm sure, and for all the closet chauvinists, he'll bring some macho military credibility to the ticket.

23. Uh-huh. But which Dem?
I think we'd be unlikely to see such a vocal opponent of the war.

Obama / Jim Webb (VA)

The Dems need fading red state Virginia's 13 electoral votes and Jim Webb is a pit bull who will drive Republicans nuts, letting Obama stay above the fray.

VA has a Democratic governor so the Dems retain his seat.

9. It will not be Obama.
I do not think egos let the front runner pick the best person if they may be so good they may be out shined.Guess it shows why the parties go down hill. Get a real good person and he picks one less so and that man picks one less so. It is sort of a self feeding thing that we end up with some bums and have to re-start the whole thing all over. Just a thought. I do not think she would be any different. I do think Obama would pick some one that may out shine him. I think he is looking at some thing different. Carter was sort of like that. I think they are two that can move on. Clinton's and Bush's can not. They are going to protect them self first. And they want to stay in power.

10. I like Jim but can't we have one liberal in the race?
We don't need two republican lights running.

16. He;actually ran as a liberal populist in 06
I had mixed feelings about him during that race. But he was one of the few major candidates who was actually raising the issue of the income gap and other problems that were largely being ignored at the time.

12. Webb is still in his first term
the life of a US Senator is a good one and if he can get elected again he enters into the Senator for life territory. The Life of a US Senator is a very very good one.

21. He is an asset in the Senate.
I would hate to lose him there, but he'd be a helluva VP. ANd would warm me up to Clinton.
