I am so sorry and angry that we STILL have to expend energy on discussing our election methodology
It diminshes all victories and magnifies all losses if we just don't have confidence in our systems. If this issue is rearing its head now, in the second primary for God's sake, what will the rest of the entire election cycle look like? Will we spend another year and then 4 years and then another 8 years rehashing the same discussions about voting systems?

Until electronic systems are proved to be secure and unhackable, the only answer is the old technology of paper ballots counted by humans and too bad for us if we have to wait longer to get the results.

1. None of the "viable" candidates can talk about this, because that will be the end of their candidacy
Is there some way for one or more of them to signal that this issue will be a ***high*** priority in their administration - if elected? I've been watching and listening and haven't picked anything up yet.

2. I think Edwards could just put it on his laundry list of things that have to be dealt with head on.
He's actually in a great position to discuss it. Election systems that all Americans have trust and confidence in - that's not too much to expect, is it?

3. He's certainly the closest to the issue due to his financing choice.
THINK of what a GREAT crossover issue it is: paper ballots, counted in public on a national voting holiday (or holidays if you include a weekend). Everyone would love it - Except the power$$$$$$$$$ that be.
