I know why Hillary faked emotion!!!
Edited on Wed Jan-09-08 11:17 AM by mrdemocrat78
I figured this out yesterday as I sat there stunned as the women all changed their minds and picked hillary.

Obama wouldn't attack her right? She needed to be attacked by someone, so what if she faked the "cry" so the media would attack her, and that is exactly what they did.

Think about it. doesn't it make sense? She needed someone to attack her to get sympathy... That's why Obama won Iowa; the attacks from hillary. So, since he wouldn't attack her, she had to trick the media into attacking her.

What do you think?

7. Please... I'm sure she's been faking it for years...
And I'm not just taking about with Bill...

Politicians fake emotion all the time to rally support, and she had to know the media would attack in a big way. This is a political machine after all.

....35 years...

Hillary is no different. You can't give her a free pass just because she's a woman.

And it's not sour grapes... It's just an observation.

It do find it odd though, everyone wants "change" or so they say, but they vote for a candidate who will give the least.

You don't have "35 years of experince" as she says, and be about change. She is part of the establishment, not an agent of change.

And while i would vote for her in the presidential election, she definitely is NOT the best candidate out there... She's probably the 4th best candidate.

She's just riding Bill's coat tails.

13. I don't think it was that calculated at all
Yes, I think it was obviously phony. But I don't think it was that deeply calculated, because as soon as she she did the misty eyed thing, the very next sentence she starts bashing Barack and got really nasty. When you watch the whole clip, she wasn't crying because of her love of country, she was crying because she didn't get why people didn't get all that she's supposedly done for 35 years. What happened was the media didn't show the full clip, and it looked like she was crying for country, and not frustration with the electorate. That's what helped her, the editing of the crying episode.

That said, better she did it now than on Feb 4th. Because if she does it again, I don't think it will work. But who knows, this is how she wins things. Plays the poor battered white woman card. She disgusts me.

You noticed that too! What do you know... I am not alone. The only show that bothered to air the full clip was countdown.

Whether she planed for it all to happen is going to be up for debate... I just was thinking...

But, how do you go from being emotion and almost crying one breath, to back into full attack the next?

17. That's why I don't think it was really planned
Because guess what, the person asked her, not how she handles the campaign, but how does she find the time to do her own hair. the media changed the question to "how to you do it all" or some feminine BS like that. So I think if anything, the press created this story, thinking it would hurt her. But the way they edited it made her look like a poor damsel in distress, and women felt bad for a fellow woman and voted for her. But let me tell you, this stuff does not sit well with women of color. This nations ability to coddle adult white women, to come to their defense even when they lie about being attacked, truly disgusts us. Hillary's MO is to play battered white woman in distress. That's not gonna work on sistas of color in this country, who actually do have to stand on their own two feet.

25. She got her senate seat
because she was emotionally battered and humiliated by her husband and because that "swarthy" Italian guy stood too close to the WASP princess and scared her in that debate. She's the front runner for the presidency because she was emotionally battered and humiliated by her husband. She won NH because the unwashed country white boy and the scary negro were picking on a white woman. When has she ever won anything on her own and by standing on her own two feet. Ignore and deny it all you want, but the dymanic of the victimized white woman who needs rescuing is real and embedded in this country's psyche.

46. When has the media ever shown a full clip of anything?
or DUers for that matter? DUers post cherry-picked statements or even sentence fragments out of context to spin propaganda.

Looking at full video clips, reading complete transcripts, and actually being there in person usually provides a radically different take on things than what certain folks with an agenda want you to take from it. FWIW, most of the women who saw the media clips did not vote in the NH primary. NH women voted in the primary. I pity the fools who hadn't decided on a candidate before election day.

This is why Iowa and NH are important for picking presidents. They meet the candidates up close instead of through the talking heads on TV. My apologies for digressing from the topic.

Cheers
ILZ

The act of asserting.

You said "I know why Hillary faked emotion!!!!", which is actually TWO assertions.

One: that you know she was faking.

Two: that you know why.

IF you'd said she might have, your OP would have been a lot less offensive.

that was done to get attention to the post

but you have to admit the content does not say the same thing. It was not an assertion of anything. Just a question, trying to see if anyone else thought the strategy might have been planned that way.

Regarless of whether she did it or not, it would have worked, and regardless if whether she INTENDED it that way or not, it is what happened.

When Hillary ran for Senate, Rick Lazio looked real aggressive to her during debate. It won her that seat.

I am glad she won last night, I really am. It keeps them honest, and keeps the discussion open.

While we might not agree on many things, I think we can all agree that this race is not only good for the party, but good for the country too.

And as I said, I don't support her right now because she voted to authorize the war, and to this date has yet to apologize for making a horrible decision.

I support Obama because he was intelligent and diligent enough to know better.

No candidate who voted for this war deserves to be the president. That said, I will completely support which ever candidate EARNS the nomination.

37. Also when you make your girlfriend cry, she's just being a manipulative bitch too.
Women are wily and not to be trusted.

72. Redqueen, you have the same problem as Hillary
When you are wrong you can't admit it. When someone gives you a chance to gracefully say you made a mistake, you refuse to do it.
When someone tries to be nice to you, you slap them in the face and ignore any good will they have bestowed upon you.

I don't have time for your ignorant views. If you care to actually read through all of this, and take the time to understand what you are reading, then maybe you can do what hillary can not. Admit you are wrong and graciously apologize.

75. The woman who asked the question voted for Obama
She said that there was no doubt in her mind that the slight choke-up Clinton had was real. C'mon, get real please.

81. What was intended with a subject "I know why Hillary faked emotion!!!"
Don't you think that a deliberately divisive headline like that will necessarily receive criticism?

shes a cold calculating politician.. nothing more.

and it worked, big time. expect more of this in the future,
she wont be so stupid as to jump the shark with it.. but a more "human" and emotional approach to her
talks. how can people be so silly? Shes still a war supporting DLC candidate..
did she well up over the near 4000 soldiers dead? the million Iraqis?
What about all those dead Children from the sanctions?
oh no.. but a loss in Ohio? that makes her well up, loose her professionalism.

get real people.
