Negative Campaigning Against Obama Could Haunt Clinton in South
Democrats partisans in New Hampshire are overwhelmingly white. In upcoming battles in states like South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama and Missouri, African-Americans represent a much higher proportion of the primary electorate.

With the help of her ex-president husband, Hillary Clinton will fight for her share of that vote.

But a viable Obama campaign can anticipate gaining the upper hand. They may benefit in that effort by calling attention to the Clinton campaign’s attacks on the first African-American candidate with a plausible path to the White House.

That “very negative campaign…will surely come back to haunt them down the road,” predicts Donna Brazile, who managed Al Gore’s 2000 presidential bid.

2. Obama should fight hard
make sure that "fairytale" remark along with the MLK/Johnson put down gets a lot of play among black voters.

13. These Aren't Arsenio Hall Days
Just because someone called him a "black" President doesn't give Clinton to dismiss a serious run by a Presidential contender as a "fairytale" or to refer to him as "kid." There's still alot of black voters that remember what it was like to be called "boy" when you are a grown man.

7. You guys use that word too much
You have diluted it's meaning.

Negative campaigning may hurt both sides but for different reasons.

8. I don't often agree with Donna Brazile, but I think she's right on the
money this time. I know they pissed me off, and it's unfortunate because we as a people have been very loyal to the party, and especially to the Clintons. She and Bill may have really screwed the pooch. I'll never forget Big Dog's line about the "fairytale", and the contempt in his voice when he said it. I loved Bill Clinton the statesman, but I absolutely despise Bill Clinton the campaigner.

9. I was also offended when he called Obama a kid
He said this last week. Like you, I don't agree with a lot that Donna says but she mentioned it on CNN. She said that he is not a kid, he is a grown man that is the member of the senate.

11. I agree, There has been so much that has been bothering me about this campaign
Obama had already accepted an invitation to speak at the anniversary of the crossing of the Edmund Pettis bridge. When Hillary found out she invited herself and brought Bill with her. John Lewis originally supported Obama but changed his mind after a discussion with Bill.

It's definately going to be an uncomfortable strain.

12. This is pretty much spot on. I just posted an article on the front page of a Southern paper
on another thread. It won't play well "down here" and won't garner any votes for Hillary.
