Mitt is pretty darned lame

I was sick today and spent a lot of time watching TV. So I watched Mitt on C-Span for a while.

Mitt is really pathetic. He kept talking about Ronald Reagan and comparing himself to Reagan. His speech revealed the inherent weakness of conservatism.

While we should know history and learn from it, it is always dangerous to be too nostalgic about the past and too quick to rely on the solutions of the past.

First of all, there is the danger of repeating the same mistakes (which people tend to forget about, preferring to remember mostly the good things about the past). But more dangerous is conservative temptation to believe that the clock can be turned back and the past restored.

You can't go home again. This is a new era. And we don't need a president looking to solve today's problems by resurrecting the policies of 25 years ago.

What a lame guy he is.
