What I'm really hoping for...
I've been following politics for almost thirty years now and I'm hoping that what we are seeing is of historic proportions. Let's look at this - a woman and a black person are at the top of the Dem ticket.

But when people ask me what I think is going on, I honestly tell them I don't know. Now, what I'm hoping for is that Obama has hit something we only get to see once in a lifetime. I hope he is pulling young people out in record numbers and the disaffected out in record numbers. I hope Hillary is attracting women in record numbers.

In other words, I hope all these folks are doing things in record numbers.

2. You know what I'm hoping for?

I'm hoping that people can see past the Woman and the Black Man and vote for person that they feel will do the best for the American people as President based on issues and their policy platform. Just saying.

3. I wish there were a progressive, even a populist, at the top of the ticket. nt

4. I'm also hoping that our fragile Democracy is strengthened
by the very existence of these exceptional citizens and they reveal more substance than image to draw the most voters under the banner of Peace Justice and Progress.
