Poll question: USA Today's new political quiz. Which candidate is your best match?
This is a new quiz used by the USA Today as a tool to match its readers with the most compatible candidate.
When you are done taking the quiz, dont forget to weight the issues at the end of the quiz moving the sliders to the right.

Link to quiz: http://www.usatoday.com/news/politics/election2008/candidate-match-game.htm?loc=interstitialskip

Now tell me, who was your best match? (Mine was Kucinich)

6. Did you adjust the sliders?
When I took mine I almost though it was over, until I saw the sliders allowing you to "weight" the issues by importance. It didnt' change the results much anyway.

What do you mean by that?

On edit:

I moved the sliders to the degree of importance I feel, and the results remained the same.

Except Kucinich rose higher! ;)

14. That did not change my number 1 choice, but it did change my
second and third choices. It got Hillary off my chart. So now, I'm Dodd, then Edwards (my favorite in fact) and then Kucinich. That is accurate except I like Edwards the most. Thank heavens.

7. As always with these things, Kucinich.
but I still can't get excited by him... I just don't see him as Presidential. Probably a failing on my part.

How often have you seen him speak? He is very smart!

Go read more about him, his policies and watch his speeches.

20. The issue that's most important
is to restore our constitution and rights. Undo the damage of 8 years of Bush, Ashcroft, Cheney, and Gonzales. And ensure fair elections.

After that, substantive issue is Global Warming / Energy.

And then, on a personal issue, Health Care. (I freelance and if I could buy insurance, it would cost me $900/month... and that's with a $10,000 deductible... so right now I don't have any).

And, yeah, I have checked out his website and read a few of his position papers.

22. Huckabee/Colbert '08? Or will that be his first broken promise?
... actually, I really hope Huck doesn't get the Rep nod, although I think he'd be easier to beat than McCain.

But the idea of him actually being president scares the excrement out of me.

23. I have always supported Edwards. I also liked Dodd a lot.
Dodd is not assertive enough. We need Edwards because he is stronger in his beliefs, a stronger fighter. They are both very good human beings. I think of the candidates, Edwards and Dodd are/were the candidates I like/liked the most just as human beings.

17. Obama came out first for me.
Then I adjusted the 'experience' slider - didn't like the question. That put Kucinich on top with Obama number 2.

24. Kucinich, Gravel, Edwards.... I looked at the tabs and what the
candidate said.. and how they made their check marks... Its a bit deceptive... But I did find out, according to this quiz... I have more in common with Mittens than I do Clinton.

I don't know why, but that surprised me. I have avoided picking a candidate so far. I thought for sure Edwards would be first.

I had Kucinich in there until I farted around with the immigration slider, LOL.
