. . . by the Clinton campaign. This is worse than the Billy Shaheen thing because he it is harder for the Clinton camp to distance itself.

1. She was standing right there.
Her campaign knew exactly what it was doing. I am convinced she'll be the nominee. I am going to have a very hard time voting for that woman.

3. No more than I am
....going to have to vote for Obama, but I will if he wins the nom. An Obama administration would look nice to the rest of the world, but I am worried about the effectiveness of it. We have no picture of what an Obama cabinet might look like or who he will tap to be his VP. There is going to be change no matter which dem is elected, so running on change is kind of a moot point.

Right now, I am concentrating on getting a dem elected. I'll worry about the particulars afterward.

4. A Democrat with soft support in the African American community does not win. . .
. . .the Clinton's are doing major damage to themselves.

Edited on Mon Jan-14-08 07:26 AM by annie1
why oh why didn't she. if not only for the fact that it was classless and disgraceful thing to say of something, but it will cost her in the long run. :(

5. Like the Bob Kerrey "he should be proud of his Muslim heritage" comment.
It's all part of the sleazy Clintonian gutter politics.

But when the Clinton Camp claims it was really about Obama's community organizing activities they lose all credibiity

7. We have no way of knowing whether his remarks were vetted
by the Clinton campaign,he could have been speaking totally off the cuff without Clinton having the slightest idea it was coming.I doubt a word for word layout of what he was going to say was demanded from him, probably more of a general description. As for her standing right next to him,I doubt given the heightened racial sensitivity taking over this campaign, she would upbraid a black speaker in front of a black audience,no matter what he says. That being said, she needs to issue a condemnation of the speakers choice of words ,and I hope she does.

8. I listen to the candidates
...not their supporters. If we listened to what their supporters are saying, we would be led to believe they are all not worthy of carrying water!
