You know the ones: Completely inflammatory and then not defended. I come to DU to leasn and discuss. I am not here be victimized by drive by posts by people who just want to see how much havoc they can creates throught lies and half-truths.

Your ad nauesum posts are not convincing anyone of anything other than the obvious fact that you are inmature and not capable of having an adult conversation. You do your candidate a disservice. So please grow up a bit.

4. Is it the real world? lies and half-truths can only be countered

with facts and whole truth. If you do that, you undermine the credibility of the person posting
"lies and half-truths." The pattern should become evident fairly quickly - who the grenade lobbers are.
If you are expressing an opinion rather than stating a fact, you have to face up to THE FACT that not everyone is going to agree with you. If you state a fact and someone chooses to attack you instead of providing evidence that the fact you presented is wrong, any inteligent person will see what's going on and discount the attack.
Sure, DU would be a better place IF everyone who posted here stuck to rational arguments. Our country and world would be a better place if we reasoned more than we react. Alas, such does not appear to be the case with the human race. But they doesn't mean we should abandon reason. Avoid the name calling games and stick with uncovering facts and you gain credibility.

they spew insults and totally ignore any facts-just pouring out their own bilge. how about if we work in tandem-alerting mods when posts get personal or racist or sexist. if we encourage others to stick with the real issues instead of constantly attacking each other. this crap shows up everywhere and i am sick of it. du is being hijacked and i am starting to keep my personal list of offenders, i hope others do also. i come here for voices like nance rants, h20 man, the top 10 conservative idiots and i love the duzy's. not these disruptors. their job is to cause dissension so we are not paying attention. i am still paying attention. i come here for what is going on in the world but the info is drowned out by this crap.
