MICHIGAN DUers: Lieberman rally for McCain in ANN ARBOR tonight
Is this the guy who accused Clark of not being a real Democrat a few years ago?
I hope he does a Q&A, and I hope DUers come with some questions. What would you like to ask him?

Lieberman to appear at McCain rally in Ann Arbor

Categories: Election

Former Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Joseph Lieberman, I-Conn., and Michigan Attorney General Mike Cox will visit Ann Arbor on Monday night for a rally on behalf of Republican presidential candidate Sen. John McCain of Arizona.

Lieberman, who ran for president in 2000 and 2004 but declared himself an independent two years ago after losing a Democratic Party primary for the Senate, will join Cox on the eve of Michigan's presidential primary for a 7:15 p.m. rally, said former Ambassador Ron Weiser. It will take place at the McKinley Towne Centre, 401 S. Division St. McCain will not attend the rally.

Weiser, an Ann Arbor resident and chairman of McCain's Michigan campaign, said Lieberman will join McCain at a joint town hall meeting on Election Day at noon at the Ann Arbor Ypsilanti Marriott Hotel at Eagle Crest, 1275 S. Huron St. The town hall event is free and open to the public and is sponsored by the Washtenaw County Economic Club.

McCain's other area appearance is Sunday at a 2 p.m. town hall meeting at Crystal Garden Hall in Genoa Township between Brighton and Howell on 5768 East Grand River Avenue. Doors to the free event open at 1:30 p.m.

McCain will be in Traverse City on Monday, Weiser said. It will be his second visit to the Ann Arbor area in the last six months. He visited with campaign organizers at Weiser's home in August and also was in Ann Arbor in 2005 for a book-signing.

Elect a Democratic President.

and

Increase the Democratic Majority in the Senate.
