7. No.
But I expect racism from Republicans.

Part of the reason I'm a Democrat.

4. Nah, just classless power-hungry has been
Hillary is using race and is willing to split the Democratic Party to get what she wants. It's beyond racist, it's politics of pure destruction.

9. Being racist/sexist is not quite the same as being willing to use racist/sexist smears
If the candidate will resort to anything to win, they'll use these type of attacks whether they are racist/sexist or not.

15. I think that allegation implies a racist tone.
If you are declaring someone is willing to use race to divide, that's close enough for me.

10. Nobody believes it. The Obamaites just make a living doling out that bullshit
Obama isn't racist and neither are the Clintons. The only racists around here are the Republican moles who come here and disguise themselves as supporters of Obama. That's unfortunate for the true Obama supporters because the moles are giving them all a bad name.

11. I can't vote twice. How do I select that neither are racist/sexist?
Edited on Mon Jan-14-08 02:17 PM by Kristi1696
For the Clintons specifically, I don't believe that either are racist, but I DO wonder if some of her advisors are out of touch wrt civil rights and race.

(And yes, I do believe that the Clintons are willing to use race in order to win.)

23. No, it's a shiny bauble, the corporate media use to distract the American People
Edited on Mon Jan-14-08 03:15 PM by Uncle Joe
from the real issues facing them today. They also do this for the primary reasons of dividing the Democratic Party and taking the focus away from the other major candidate and the issues, he is raising which the corporate media find uncomfortable.

They don't want to talk about corporate corruption, CEO pay going from a ratio of 26 to 1 as compared to their workers to 300 to 1 in a decade or so, the corporate lobbyist's strangle hold on our dysfunctional government.

Even John Conyers was afraid to pursue impeachment against Cheney/Bush, not because there wasn't good reason, but because he knew what the corporate media reaction would be. That's the kind of out sized power of persuasion, the mega corporations have.

So long as they focus the American People's attention on a trumped up dispute between Hillary Clinton; who they view as their friend as a supposed racist or Obama; who is ambiguous about his intentions as supposedly sexist, none of those other issues will be addressed by the corporate media and the American People will be all the poorer for it, in making their deliberations.

The corporate media doesn't represent the people, they represent the corporations.
