I just heard a rumor that MI turnout is very low
now i know Obama and Edwards were not on the ballot and only Clinton but if true on the turn out what does that say about the passion to vote for her on the democratic side.

1. Um, the results are meaningless. I don't support Hillary, but your OP is a stretch. Why would they?
Seriously....

2. I heard one guy on Rachel Maddow say he went into his polling place in Farmington,
about 4:15-ish, and it was just him and 8 poll workers.

8. How true
And if they did matter, nobody knows how to vote unless they want Hillary, and even then, would the votes count?

The ballot was simple - Only the candidates for president, Dems, no other issues, offices, nara, nothin....one little mark and voting was done.

6. Clinton wasn't the only one on the ballot
Kucinich was, and even campaigned in the state.

7. Craziness.
There is effectively no Democratic primary happening in Michigan today. There is a Republican primary. Low turnout is GOOD NEWS FOR EVERYONE HERE, because it indicates low enthusiasm among *Republicans*. OK? Now celebrate, instead of using good news for all Democrats as a stick to take a poke at some Democrats.

10. yes, but there are democratic party DELEGATES...
...that must be assigned to someone. That part of the primary goes on, even if voter participation is low.

11. I agree ,It's good news. Nobody expected a high turnout
on the Dem side.A low turnout on the rep. side may signify a loss to their base here.I voted around 3:00 today in a usually busy precinct, there were 2 republicans and me.I will be interesting to see if their numbers went down in traditional GOP strongholds like northern Oakland County and Grand Rapids area.

13. Fox Are Saying Uncommitted Votes Very High Amongst African Americans
According to Fox News - and comments by Mort Kondracke (their resident Democrat!) - a very high proportion of African americans in Detroit are apparently going big for uncommitted. Anyone know if there is any basis for this.
