1. She tries too hard to sound strong.
You can't indicate strength. You can speak softly and project strength if you are genuinely strong.

3. i think she may have a problem modulating her voice...hasn't she...
always sort of had a hard time with inflection and stuff in debates and speeches. it's a tone or hearing issue or something maybe. ? like mike meyers after getting unfrozen. :D

needs to adjust, not everybody else.

13. A post on Sunday accused her of "shouting" at Russert on MTP...
and there was no shouting. Tonight, I hear no yelling. Can this possibly have to do with the unaccustomed sound of a woman's voice in venues involved in a Presidential campaign?

I regret that I have to, but the atmosphere on the board causes me to feel that I have to say that I'm an Obama supporter. (But I admit to a soft spot in my heart for Hillary. And I like Edwards, too.)

22. Maybe she has a little bit of hearing impairment.
Entirely possible. She is 60 years old, and they say hearing is the first to start going...

Even the loss of a few decibels might make her talk a little louder than normal because she can't hear herself as sharply. She may not even be aware of it.

I didn't see the debate, so I'm just guessing. If she is actually talking loud, that could be why.
