8. Tweets needs to give lip service to the public...
to cover his overt sexism.

Strange how you had no problem with Matthews when he was shilling for Obama the past month.

Obama: all hat, no cattle.

Surprisingly, Fineman said Hillary has a Plan for everything..(that gave me a chuckle and warmed my heart at the same time)

15. I think he is poll driven...
His ratings must be tanking and instead of just taking an unbiased position he panics and does a complete 180.

18. annie1, DU is filled with left wingers who are in love with hating the Clintons.
There hate for them exceeds their hate for Ronald Reagan. All we heard from the Obama chorus was that he was going to win in a landslide in New Hampshire. Hillary eked out a win and all we heard was "fraud" from these people.

40. Ah, the overused tactic of playground recess debate:
Don't offer any real substance, just say some variation of 'I know you are but what am I?'

::sigh:: Griping at the messenger when you don't really have any effective response to the message is sorta silly, but it tells others much, probably much more than the teller intends.

I am not watching the spin - only know of their comments from you guys.
But in this household - 2 non-supporters - we both think she did best (and we disagree with some of what she said too)

13. DU is not the real world by a long shot.
This is a very competitive primary. If you take a poll of DU, Obama would win in a landslide. That is clearly not happening in the REAL WORLD.

That's a nice way to talk about the community you are supposedly a part of. Of course here we tend to be much more informed than the average voter which is why many of us won't stand for Hillary's BS.

30. She was very good-if you didnt know she was on the take from lobbyists- Edwards
hit back every volley and he was very very good, real and sincere.

When Hillary tried to play "gotcha" with him, he came back prepared with every answer turning it around and then took opportunity to give his opinion on matter.

He was good...and got in that she took more money than anyone else from oil and gas when she was talking about bad energy policy

31. Hillary won the debate, but you won't get most people here to admit it.
I flipped channels back and force for the commentary and most pundits were saying that Hillary went back to the pre October 30 debate mode. They said that she had performed very well. She was called presidential, in command, well prepared and "regal". Most mentioned how she is so well versed on the issues and it showed in this debate. Even Tweety was impressed by her performance!!!!

34. No, I don't agree.....
She certainly was on the attack however, and if that is how a debate is judged, then yes, she scored points.

But the first thing that turned me off she said in her first answer of the debate. She said something to the effect that this "election is about our personality" (talking about the candidates). I was thinking, I don't think so Hillary. This election is to be about us.

Her incessant talk about her 35 years is also starting to wear thin. She doesn't ever enumerate what she actually did during those 35 years other than a couple of things like working on the Children's Fund....otherwise, she seems to assume that we are already supposed to know. Did she marry Bill Clinton 35 years ago or something, cause I'm not sure what that milestone marking the 35 years represents. In addition, she seems to imply that she had NS clearance or sat in on NS meetings during her years in the White House, but she did not. Why does she thinks that we will be safer with a person that didn't bother to read the NIE and voted for this stupid war?

Edwards didn't win it for me, because I knew what he was going to say before he said it half of the time. His fever pitch passion in all that he discusses gets tiring. Because he never modulates his tone, at some point folks start thinking....come on, man...you can't be that wonderfully agitated....especially considering that so much of his past actions don't reflect this burning urgency that he likes to convey.

Barack was calm and cool, and carried himself with a true air of authenticity and a dash of humor. He was able to convey that he sees the big picture very clearly, and knows what qualities that are his own that he can offer to the presidency. He was eloquent, thought provoking, pensive, and original.

And if one thinks that Baracks ponderous pausing as he speaks is distracting, John Edwards batting eyes and weak moved wrist are really, really hard to take. At least with Barack, you know he is processing his thoughts, and you actually don't mind waiting for what he's gonna say.

I give the win to Barack.
