Tonight, I'm proud to be a Democrat.
Thank you, candidates who participated in the Nevada debate. (Dennis, thanks for fighting the good fight. I wish you could have been there.)

You held your heads high and emphasized the things you had in common vs. the Republicans.

You firmly backed away from your campaigns' harsher behaviors.

You were able to highlight your differences, where appropriate, but you were not mean, petty or tricky, and you did not hesitate to credit each other for ideas you were in agreement with.

You resisted the temptation to swing at the slimy low-balls thrown at you by the GE/MSNBC Republican promotion machine. You did NOT take their bait when they fed you right-wing talking points, and you refused to play the gutter politics of division.

I thought you all three did GREAT. I would and will be proud to support ANY of you for President, and will fight like HELL to elect any of you in the General Election.

There were moments when my wife and I both thought, "Damn! I wish all THREE of them could be President, together!" Our two kids (who like Edwards and Clinton), my wife and I (who like Edwards), applauded ALL of you a different times.

Tonight, I am proud to be a Democrat.

:applause:

(Shameless plug. K&R this thread if you're sick of the bickering and want, more than anything, to kick some serious Republican ASS in November!)

:woohoo:

1. Yup, we've got a great field.
I think they all have smarts and class.

And when you look at what we'll be running against in the general.....:scared: They're all fucking scary. But I think our odds look pretty good.

2. No kidding.
Someone said that the Dems have "an embarrassment of riches" this year, and I think it's true.

The Repukes, by comparison, are just pathetic. Stay in Iraq for 100 years? Amend the Constitution so it agrees with God? It was appropriate for the NYPD to walk my girlfriend's dog? ANYTHING that comes out of the Mittster's mouth?

Bwaaahahahahahahahahah!

5. I'm proud too
They all did great, and fielded Russert with ease.

8. Except for being too damned gutless to insist on including Kucinich
I'm ashamed of them for showing less solidarity with fellow Democrats than Republicans displayed for Ron Paul.
