Lying Clinton hack, Taylor Marsh, exposed by Las Vegas Sun

Lying Clinton hack, Taylor Marsh, exposed by Las Vegas Sun

Wednesday was just another day for so-called liberal radio personality, Taylor Marsh.

As she has done many times this primary season, Marsh drummed up another lie with which to bash a Democratic candidate who dares to challenge Hillary Clinton. Marsh has become our very own Rush Limbaugh. And, like Limbaugh, she uses outright lies, half-truths and distortions to attack Democrats. The difference being, of course, that Marsh claims to be a Democrat.

Adding to the already long list of lies she has promulgated on her radio program and on her blog, Marsh, on Wednesday, took this story from the Las Vegas Sun...

Incident at Paris Las Vegas (UPDATED)

... about a claim by two union Clinton supporters that a co-worker had been intimidated into supporting Obama -- even though the co-worker denied she had been intimidated -- and turned it into something much larger and far more sinister...

Culinary Union Intimidating Members to Vote for Obama.

The only problem: once again, Marsh was lying.

<...>

But the Sun didn't stop there. They had some questions for Taylor Marsh:

The situation is not as black and white as liberal blogger Taylor Marsh says it is. Marsh did not respond to an e-mail seeking an interview. Here are some questions the Sun sought to ask her.

1. Marsh did not identify the eyewitness to the Paris incident as a Clinton supporter. Why not?

2. Marsh did not include any interview with the actual alleged victim, Sylvia Antuna. Why not? In an interview with the Sun, Antuna said the incident may have been more misunderstanding than intimidation.

3. Did Marsh attempt to reach the Culinary Union to get its response to the allegation? If not, why not?

But let's don't stray from the "HRC and her women supporters (& Taylor Marsh?!?) are ALL Women" talking point? It's becoming so inane that I'm somewhat amused at this pathetic attempt for increased attention. ;)

She didn't identify the woman who was intimidated as a Clinton supporter? No lie there, and I don't even know why it matters.

She may or may not take money from another union. No lie there, and no proof of anything either.

She didn't contact the Sun. No lie there, and she may end up contacting them anyway.

10. I don't think that the Sun made it's case,
they talked about the worst case scenario being a voter who was told that they could caucus for Obama or not caucus at all. Well that's exactly the problem, not to mention any intimidation they might feel when their supervisors are watching them in the same room.

From what I understand, Marsh was talking to the very people who wrote comments in the Sun itself. I'm not going to assume anything until I get more information...and certainly not from a diary at KOS.

18. The Sun did make it's case...
They pointed out that she:
1. Left out important facts (i.e. that the person she interviewed about the "intimidation" was a Clinton supporter)
2. Failed to interview the actual "victim" to get the complete story.

Those two facts alone should be enough cause for no one to ever trust anything on her blog again. She purports herself as a "reporter" of sorts, but she conducts herself like a partisan-hack.

26. The Sun seems to agree with Taylor today:
"As we see it, the only obstacle in Clinton’s way in Nevada is the unfair caucus system that has been set up, specifically the rule that allows on-site voting at casino workplaces on the Strip. Not only is it unfair because it isn’t an option for noncasino workers who can’t get away from work, but it also enables the Culinary Union, which has endorsed Obama, to pressure its members into voting for their union’s endorsed candidate even if they prefer Clinton."

And by the way, The Sun just endorsed Clinton :-)

Those are separate issues. You do realize that people can disagree on some things and agree on others, don't you?

I mean I know that you're "100% Hillary, whatever she says goes"....but you could disagree with her and still support her.

70. Except that the woman in question didn't feel intimidated and was registered.
The only "evidence" for intimidation were the exaggerated claims by a couple of Clinton supporters.

Sorry, but I'd rather go directly to the source. The woman in question described the incident as "a misunderstanding" and not intimidation. But if you want to believe the baseless claims of the Clinton supporters who spread the story, that's your choice.

At least learn a "new tune" because this one won't PLAY.

Abrams, IMNSHO, is too openly opinionated to moderate his own show. At times, he's as arrogant and pompous as Tweety. However, the people he "bats around" are not all of the feminine gender. And he didn't make "a transformation" to the positive JUST BECAUSE lately he's been "posturing" for your candidate.

Talk about self-serving and paranoid analyses?!? :eyes:

to the political hackery.

The Clintonian DLC uses the Rovarian "dirty tricks" playbook invented by Lee Atwater and other smarmy characters within the RNC.

There's very little difference with regard to "morality" when it comes to the political hackery of the DLC vs. RNC. Both entities' tactics are *morally depraved* and it's not serving the interests of The American People, but only their (RNC/DLC) blessed corporate MASTERS.

Thank God that we now have the capability to call these smarmy operatives on their deceit.

WE ALL LOSE when votes are suppressed or a "smear campaign" is successful ... when you have to "cheat to win." :grr: :puke:

55. Many of Taylor Marsh's prejudices and spin have been listed above. Feel free to revisit?

57. And I addressed them.
Now I'm leaving this typical bashing of "anyone who doesn't support Barack Obama' thread. Have at it.

67. The SUN? Ultra rightwing subway rag. They try to give it away.
Most New Yorkers won't even take it for free.

72. Pressure being put on Union members has NOT been debunked
"After speaking with several Culinary members — at the suggestion of the Clinton campaign —the Sun cannot substantiate widespread voter intimidation on the part union organizers. What is clear, however, is that Culinary organizers are pushing Obama hard in the run-up to Saturday’s Caucus.

It’s also clear that some members in some cases have felt intimidated by the pushy approach of some organizers. According to labor experts, a vigorous back-and-forth is the norm in these types of situations — and the tactics don’t cross the legal line unless workers are overtly threatened.

None of the Culinary members interviewed by the Sun claim to have been threatened."

Note this sentence:

"It’s also clear that some members in some cases have felt intimidated by the pushy approach of some organizers"

If the red line is whether or not union members are being OVERTLY threatened if they do not support Obama, no evidence proved that anyone has crossed that line. But that is a very legalistic line; "and the tactics don’t cross the legal line unless workers are overtly threatened."

Plain old garden variety "intimidation" of the sort that has been used to discourage Blacks from voting in the past that doesn't cross over into actually preventing someone from voting if they can brave the intimidation factor is not exactly something to proud of or condoned. "Pressure" is not always as blatant as waking up to find a severed horse's head on your pillow.

It is not proven. It is likely debunked, and definitely not provem.
