Should I even BOTHER to vote in Florida?
I haven't gone yet even with early voting going on. This really, really stinks. I couldn't have picked a worse time to move here.

Former New Yorker, hoping to be again someday.

1. I know I did.
But then again, this is my first presidential election, so I wasn't gonna miss it.

6. Absolute.y you should! As I understand it, the delegates will be
seated and allowed to vote at the convention. The nominee him/her self is permitted to call for that, and I'm positive they will do so! I tried to find out who's names are on your ballot and if the same thing applies to Fl as did in MI, that you can't write in a name or your vote doesn't count, but you are advised to vote uncommitted. Do you know?

12. Here's some of what I've read.
http://www.openleft.com/showDiary.do?diaryId=3106

Michigan and Florida will be seated at the convention. Anyone who thinks that the key swing states of Michigan and Florida won't be seated at the Democratic convention is foolish. Jerome Armstrong has been pointing this out for a while:

It seems to be lost on some here that the delegates from Michigan and Florida will be seated at the DNC convention. For those of you who believe the nonsense that MI & FL delegates will not be seated at all, I would appreciate a historical precedent (would it be too much to request that it's from the last 100 years too?). The truth is, MI & FL will be seated.

14. Isn't this the deal Crist was pushing
for property tax relief that would INCREASE the homestead exemption requiring a yes vote?

15. Crist is a Republican after all. Their goal is to cut taxes and privatize
the maintenance and building of infrastructure, roads, bridges. The firefighters and police are opposing this amendment because it means less money to fund them. And they will probably be privatized as well.

Here is a link to the explanations, confusing though they may be. One has been removed, there are two on the ballot.

http://election.dos.state.fl.us/initiatives/initiativelist.asp?year=2008&initstatus=ALL&MadeBallot=Y

Where do you get the money for cities and municipalities to operate if you cut taxes so drastically.

And it will not affect people evenly across the board. The rich will get richer and people like us will get a 200 a year cut.

13. Yes
Think Delegates !!!!

Anything that takes a delegate away from Hillary is helpful. Maybe Edwards will endorse Obama at the convention.

20. I would vote like it counted even though it may not in the end
It is tragic that you would even have to think it's not worth voting.

I would vote while wearing a black band over my mouth.

28. Your vote counts, just not toward choosing the nominee.
However at the convention the nominee will probably seat the delegates. But you don't get a choice in who the nominee is.

If you wonder why....thank the Florida Democrats

Florida and Michigan continue to blame others for what they did. who wanted to be more relevant and decided that size really does matter after all. In fact they wore a button saying that at the convention.

The buttons:

Note the Screw Dean button...really classy.
