Heheh.... imagine if Clinton lost by 6% ...
but won the delegate count. Imagine the hue and cry you'd see here about how undemocratic the system is, how the Clintons gamed the system, how unfair the caucus system is.

No matter who gets that last delegate - and nobody yet knows who will get it - Clinton won. The Press will report that she won. She will have the momentum that a win gives her. She will be widely perceived as having won.

2. That is exactly what I would be hearing.
"Undemocratic" & "The Clintons gamed the system" ... Exactly!

4. True. It's still not the same as a clear percentage AND delegate win
And it makes Obama more competitive than he would have been in that case.

6. Sounds to me a little like claiming a victory in MICHIGAN. But Hillary, didn't do that, right?
Oh wait, she did.

If your name is not on the ballot. Too bad your guy was dumb enough to take his name off.

8. Hey, if she keeps up this kind of momentum
it will be Edwards who will decide who wins.

She got a squeaker, again, in the popular vote and lost the delegate vote in a state where she practically owns the Democratic establishment.

Sounds more like hanging on by her fingernails, to me.

9. That would be huge!!1!
She would have surpassed all expectations by soaring back from being up 25% to only losing by 6%.

14. Popular vote trumps Delegate count
Obama supporter here, and I see this as a loss.

It was close, she was up by 25% before Iowa, but still a loss.

If she can win S.C. it may be all over, at that point even Edwards + Obama won't = Clinton

Then we would have to listen to their hysterical conspiracy theories ad nauseum.

16. The one with the most delegates gets the nomination
2025 delegates are needed to win the Democratic nomination. About 40% are "super delegates".

That means they can override the votes made in their state's caucus or primary.
