(Jan. 19) - Sen. John McCain won a hard-fought South Carolina primary Saturday night, avenging a bitter personal defeat in a bastion of conservatism and gaining ground in an unpredictable race for the Republican presidential nomination. Democrats Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Obama split the spoils in Nevada caucuses marred by late charges of dirty politics.

4. I'm one, but I sort of think that since it's obvious they both have the resources
to go all the way, these in-between contents don't count so much anymore. In other circumstances they would winnow down the field, or maybe cause the last credible alternative to the leader to drop out. But since Iowa and NH established two front runners who can go all the way, it doesn't matter. It might have impact down the ballot, but as far as the Clinton and Obama fight goes, NV and SC are just little warm-ups.

2. You mean all those voters suddenly forgot that McCain had an illegitimate
black baby, and voted for him this time around?

Karl Rove must be laughing and masturbating himself to sleep.

8. The delegate count is 13 to 12 (or 12 to 13, depending on who you talk to)
and that's what counts at the convention. So technically, yes, it is a split.

10. why is anyone surprised? The media hates Clinton--she cannot even win
without them spinning it as a loss. And, despite the CONSTANT attacks on her and unfair treatment of her SHE WINS.

The right-wing-aol can call it whatever they want. We all know the truth.

13. If one delegate is the difference at the convention, then it matters
Edited on Sat Jan-19-08 11:26 PM by HughMoran
Considering that one delegate is only 0.02% off all delegates, that seems somewhat remote - though not impossible.
