45. I know John Edwards will deliver for us, but the Pirates have taken over our ship...
Could we reclaim our party somehow by creating a true and new Democratic Party........call it the
"New Democratic Party" or the
"Real Democratic Party" or
"First Democratic Party"

Right now it's the "Republican Democratic Party"

They; the two other brainwashed or planted candidates, have infiltrated and are destroying the core values of what I always thought was the Democratic party.

Sorry, but I have been on this earth for 60-years and that is how I am now seeing it. I used to be a Republican! If it's going to be like this, then I guess we former Republicans or Independents should all go back and compare Hillary or Obama (with Republican values) against the other Republican candidates that are currently running.

I JUST WON'T DO THAT....I WAS ALL SET TO VOTE FOR JOHN EDWARDS.....I'M A UNEMPLOYED ENGINEER AND WANT MY JOB BACK !!!

THERE ARE MILLIONS OF JOBS LIKE MINE THAT ARE LEAVING THIS COUNTRY !!

You and your family can always emigrate to other places. As European was doing when the life here war tuff, and many was staring for a more free life then they had back home. You would always find a home, and work here I guess.. Or if you don't like European attitude, you have always Australia... Many places you can visit, and settle down if you want you know...

And ENGINEER would always find work other places, they hare needed...

...not sure if telling him "love it or leave it" is the particularly hopeful-in-America perspective...

we are fighting so that those jobs stay in the USA so that we don't wind up a nation of (i was going to say customer service reps but they're all out of india these days... yikes!)

True, the US have a very open mind when it come to thing, and I do believe we in europe is somewhat more "closed" when it come to this thing.. But hey, we have a lot of different history, so I guess the whole european model is somewhat different then in the US?

It is silly to let all this job go to India or somewhat else.. Even that the indians can do longer hour, for less money even there, the salary are on the rise.. And this type of companies cant ever find other places where the salary is less and less so they can earn more.. I tryed HP customer service here I live once.. Get totally lost in "dial this, dial that" jungle.. My old PC broke totally down and I have to call for some help.. NADA.. And this is in Norway.. Where they still use Norwegian to help the customer..

But, even then. I believe that american (US) would be more than welcome here in Europe, anywhere you want to settle down. Europe need qualified men and woman.. And I guess american do share some common values that we understand each other on?

I hope you get a work or have a work where you can get a decent income, for you, your wife and your childeren... I really do

I understand: You have a amazing, great country who deserve that much more than this ********** extremist have manage do to your country... The Neo-cons and this Administration SHOULD have been tried before the court for High Crimes.. If they go free, everything america once was are truly dead... anything US was is dead.. They rape and pillage everything you have, and go away to other places when they are finnish.. Don't let them do that. Do something.... I don't know what, but DO something PLEASE

And that would be a sorry day, both for US, and for the rest of the world... And for my personally.. Very sad indeed

81. Greatest candidate
We are Edwards people and we will not go away.
We will follow the words of our candidate:

"It is time for our party, the Democratic party, to show a little backbone, to have a little guts, to stand up for working men and women. If we are not their voice, then we'll never have a voice."

Patience and persistance are virtues.
Keep fighting the good fight.

My candidate, John Edwards, is the only true progressive running who stands a chance to win the nomination. I will support him 'til the end. Why bother even considering who might be a second choice when the others are owned by the machine. My candidate, John Edwards, is the ONLY cnadidate who will fight for the people of America.

I will stand by John Edwards as long as he fights for us.

17. I'm here too... when I thought I wouldn't be...
When I had actually sworn off getting involved in this again because of my disillusionment with this process and the hurt I felt for the past regarding my support of Al Gore and what was done to him... However, reading about Mr. Edward's stances, and hearing his words about ending poverty and addressing climate change brought me back...because he truly does seem to care and that matters to me. And I am here to stay with Mr. Edwards for the long haul because he is running the kind of campaign that I believe truly does speak of change. Great pictures, beautiful family. Thanks for posting this. And yes, thanks Mr. Edwards for speaking for the forgotten Americans.

i support obama.

but we all have to choose based on who we think is best. not who we think will win, doing that will on give us a shitty candidate. so stand up for your man. because you think he's the most admirable, or the best leader, or the most honorable. don't throw your support behind someone else. support only the person you like. to the end, and even further.

http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0108/7979.html

Even if the others lead going into the convention, if Edwards has a lot of delegates he will still have clout to negotiate for policy concessions, cabinet appointments, or even a vice presidential slot before throwing his support to either of the other two candidates.

47. If anyone has been slapped
upside the head harder and more often than Edwards and his supporters with the fact that a Corporate owned and controlled media is killing our country, it would have to be Clarkies who saw the blackout of Wes in the 2004 primaries.

I hope these slaps and kicks energize ALL OF YOU to join the fight to STOP BIG MEDIA!

Google "Stop Big Media" and get involved, if you're not already. Support The Real News, and other independent news sources so they can continue to grow and gain influence. FreePress.net is another great one to support.

The United States has fallen to #48 in ranking of press freedom conducted by Reporters Without Borders. Number 48!! behind these countries:

Iceland
Norway
Estonia
Slovakia
Belgium
Finland
Sweden
Denmark
Ireland
Portugal
Switzerland
Latvia
Netherlands
Czech Republic
New Zealand
Austria
Canada
trinidad and Tobago
Germany
Costa Rica
Slovenia
Lithuania
United Kingdom
Mauritius
Namibia
Jamaica
Australia
Ghana
Greece
France
Taiwan
Spain
Bosnia and Herzegovina
Italy
Macedonia
Japan
Uruguay
Chile
South Korea
Coratia
Romania
South Africa
Israel
Cape Verde
Cyprus
Nicaragua

I am not an Edwards supporter, but it kills me to see what they're doing to your candidate and to our country. Enough is enough!!

 i am totally laughing at ourselves, but it is a good laugh, not an angry one.

i am proud of these people for their innate recognition of the goodness of John through the above photos. it's also very funny, and human. john is one of those candidates who is simply honest and familiar and cool. He's like a successful older brother whose wife has terminal cancer. it evokes a family feeling even in me, battle-scarred activist that i am.

welcome to the organic-feel part of John's electability argument. it is no lie, though, it's the real deal. obama people feel the same way about their candidate and I don't begrudge them that; hillary supporters certainly feel the same way. If they don't, they should switch, right? Yes, they should - if their candidate starts mouthing right-wing-isms, they should really and truly think twice, and if they start to appear more and more artificial and talking-pointsy, they should think about that too. Edwards has never presented this risk to this supporter.

i just never felt that i would have a Democratic candidate that represented both my progressive point of view and my determination to win the popular vote at the same time. it really is moving and inspiring to consider the sacrifice the Edwards family is committed to in order to get much of my point of view out there in people's minds, as well as to keep the Democrats from swinging too far to the right.

59. Damn straight! John Edwards to the convention!
Say NO to "compromising" with corporate America!

Say YES to a government of, by and FOR the PEOPLE! (Remember that?)

Say NO to elections bought and paid for by and for the wealthy!

Say YES to a candidate who will represent US!

Say NO to vague promises of "change" supported only by the gender or race of the candidate and not their policies or record!

Say YES to the candidate who has fought for us, will fight for us, and who has no illusions about how much fight it will take to save us from being ravaged further by the rich and powerful!

Say YES to John Edwards for President!

82. Fabulous pictures, Nutmegger!!
Fabulous candidate too! It's sure as hell NOT over yet.

I LOVE that first picture with the great Harry S Truman on the wall in his office!!!

Another salt-of-the-earth Democrat. My folks told me what a down to earth guy Truman was.

Somebody has to fight for the working and middle class and formerly middle class Americans.

John is formidable. He's been formidable in the courtroom all his adult life. He said about the insurance companies and the big corporations, "You can't make nice with these people".
He's right. He knows what kind of soulless evil bastards run those big corporations that he sued, and sued successfully for the injured and the families of the dead.

I have no doubt that he'll keep on fighting for the rest of us.
