1. Perhaps we would do better if we go back to simply voting by paper ballots. Get the profit out of the system by removing the for-profit corporations that sell voting equipment equipped with proprietary software that is unknown to officials. If that cannot be done, then there must be a paper trail that can be audited with electronic voting equipment. In fact, I recommend a mandatory hand recount in this case regardless of outcome.
2. Point 5 should be subordinate to point 3. The only real valid reason why states such as Iowa and New Hampshire go first in the primary system is because of their small size. This levels the playing field somewhat in terms of poorer candidates vs. wealthier candidates. There would have to be a viability "test" of some kind though, like demonstrating that you can get 1 dollar donations equal to X, where X equals, say, 5 percent of the number of voters who voted in the previous election in that particular district. Otherwise, everybody who signals their intent to run for president would have to get access to taxpayer funds.
