The Republican race
I think Fred will drop out today. He never had the fire in the belly thing and his numbers yesterday were pretty dismal. Rudy? Hard to remember he's still in it except when he does something incredibly boneheaded and repulsive like running ads with real 9/11 footage, but he won't drop out yet. If he gets slammed in FL, I suspect he'll still hang in there for Super Tuesday. Still, he's no longer a factor. Paul isn't either, and I see Iowa and his second place in SC as Huckabee's high water mark. He'll get killed in stated like CA on 2/5. That leaves McCain and Romney and McCain has to be recognized as the frontrunner. I don't count the Mittster out though, and I look for things to get even dirtier in the next 2 weeks.
