Poll question: Since The Primaries Have Started, How Many People Have You Put On Your Ignore List?

I don't have anyone on my ignore list. I just don't believe in shutting myself out of any topic of discussion with anyone, whether I agree with them or not.

But I'm probably the minority in that, or maybe not.

How filled-up is your ignore list right now?

All candidate supporter groups represented, including my own. In some cases, it's people who clutter the place up with incessant puffery, one-liners or link-only OPs. In most cases, it's the nastiest sonsofbitches. I make exceptions for clever ones in each case.

I actually put a few Obama supporters on ignore and I'm an Obama supporter. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the folks I put on ignore have been tombstoned.

If a post seems stupid to me, I can ignore it without looking for some
button to do it for me. Of course, if anyone has put me on such a list
due to my own nonsense, I probably wouldn't figure it out until the 2016
elections anyway!

My ignore list consists of one-note posters

I do it mainly to avoid the inflammatory threads that contribute nothing of value to the discourse on DU.

It's interesting. When looking at a message thread, I'll see the word "ignored" on a reply, indicating that the person posting has been added to my ignore list. This ignored response is usually followed with two or three plates of grub for the troll who posted it. Which validates why the person made it onto my ignore list in the first place.

It makes DU a more pleasant place. I plan on deleting my entire ignore list after the primary, though.

15. Not any of the long-time DUers (that doesn't mean post counts)

I've been here since early 2002, but only cracked 10000 posts a couple of months ago. So, when I see people who are being real assholes, real disruptors, and they signed up less than 12 months ago and have 15000 posts, I usually just ignore them. However, I only have 2 people on my actual ignore list. The rest, I just don't pay attention to.
