If Democrats shouldn't criticize Democrats, I have two questions:

1. Should Democrats be criticizing unions by suggesting that it's wrong for the union leaders to endorse anyone without taking a vote or by suggesting that unions intimidate the members? These are Republican catch phrases, aren't they? Aren't Democrats supposed to support the rights of organize dlabor?

2. Should Democrats be spreading the image of Chicago Democrats as members of a corrupt machine? First, it' s out of date and second, once again, it's a Republican theme.

1. It must have taken you awhile to.......
.......come up with Republican logic wrapped in a thin Democratic veneer to use to attack another Democrat without saying his name.

Thats a 6 on a 10 scale.

2. Just because Dems shouldn't criticize Dems
doesn't mean they don't do it. The fact that they tend to while the GOP doesn't is one of the reasons the GOP retains so much power, I think. But I don't know that I want to belong to a party that demands such discipline at the sacrifice of principle and ideals.

4. I am a democrat and I have belonged to 2 different unions. One was a very good union when I was a
member; the other worked against its members and for the employer.

I think there are good unions and bad unions, just as all corporations are not the same.

If the heads of a union endorse without consulting members they should make that plain.

7. Should Democrats be spreading the image of Chicago Democrats
as members of a corrupt machine"? well it`s the truth...isn`t it? actually being from illinois the democratic machine in this state is pretty bad. fitzgerald is looking at the governor`s corruption and fitzgerald is having a tough time cracking the daley machine but knowing fitzgerald, he`ll get the job done.

it`s not really a "republican theme" here in illinois because fitzgerald just brought down the republican machine so neither party wants to bring the subject up for that reason. it`s a talking point here at du because most people do not understand local and state politics in illinois.
