Clinton, McCain favored in Connecticut
HARTFORD, Conn., Jan. 20 (UPI) -- Republican John McCain and Democrat Hillary Clinton have double-digit leads among likely voters in Connecticut's Feb. 5 presidential primary, a poll indicates.

<snip>

Among Democrats, Clinton, the junior senator from New York, is favored by 41 percent of likely voters in the Democratic primary, compared with 27 percent who support Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois and 9 percent for former North Carolina Sen. John Edwards.

Clinton has consistently been the favorite among Connecticut Democrats since last year. She has lost little support in the Nutmeg State even as Obama won the Iowa caucuses and finished second in New Hampshire, the newspaper reported.
