Thank you Hillary for voting for war with Iran!
Scott Ritter points to the phony "incident" between US Navy and Iranian patrol boats and the recent Kyl-Lieberman vote that gives Bush a green light to attack Iran. Bush and Hillary have both said that all options were on the table with Iran, including first use of tactical nukes.

Is US on Brink of War with Iran?

by Catherine Kavanaugh

FERNDALE- Scott Ritter, one of the former United Nations inspectors who didn’t find any weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, denounced the Bush administration for going to war with WMDs as the primary rationale in March 2003.

Now he fears the United States is on the brink of war with Iran. Ritter points to a military buildup in the region, the so-called threats to the U.S. Navy from Iranian speed boats last week and a U.S. Senate resolution that labels elements of Iran as a terrorist organization.

3. Hillary hasn't learned anything from her Iraq War Resolution vote
She is still trusting Bush, so she votes once again to give him the authority to deal with the next neocon target.

On the other hand, perhaps Hillary believes in the same imperialist crap that all neocons believe in.

8. Yep, just one of the many times he didn't vote on a key issue.
Obama supporters are not looking at his record, he hasn't been a leader for change in the Senate and he has a pattern of not voting on key issues.

12. "Misinformation Campaign on Kyl-Lieberman Backfires on Obama"
Misinformation Campaign Backfires on Obama (Lanny Davis)
@ 12:48 pm
For some time I have heard repeated misstatements, even down to using the exact words, concerning Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton’s (D-N.Y.) support for the Senate resolution, S. Amendment 3017, enacted Sept. 26, 2007 by a 76-22 vote (called the “Kyl-Lieberman Amendment”). The resolution designated the Iranian Revolutionary Guard a “foreign terrorist organization.” Weeks ago I heard supporters of Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) and former Sen. John Edwards (D-N.C.) charging — again using almost identical words — that Sen. Clinton had supported a resolution that “would allow President Bush to go to war with Iran.”

Then I discovered three facts that could not be disputed:
— The resolution did not in any way allow such military intervention as a result of such designation;
— Many anti-Iraq war Democrats, including Sen. Obama’s senior colleague, Dick Durbin of Illinois (D), also supported the resolution; and
— Sen. Obama had co-sponsored a similar resolution — S. 970 — along with 67 other senators just six months ago, in March 2007. I also determined that many anti-Iraq war Democrats who opposed any possible authorization for President Bush to intervene militarily in Iran also supported the resolution.

...

But it doesn’t report that just last March, Mr. Obama and 67 other senators co-sponsored Senate Resolution 970, which included the same language as the Senate resolution that Mrs. Clinton recently supported: to “designate the Iranian Revolutionary Guards as a foreign terrorist organization.” Many other anti-Iraq war Senate Democrats including Senator Obama’s senior colleague from Illinois, Richard J. Durbin - supported this resolution. Senator Durbin said, “I don’t think this resolution” gives the Bush administration “a green light to do anything.”

4. Nice try, but Hillary didn't vote for this one alone. Had she not voted for...
the K/L resolution, she would have been accused of being soft on defense...probably most loudly by this OP.

Gotta keep your fibs straight to be taken seriously.

10. "Soft on Defense"? This is Precisely The Reason I Oppose Her
She takes this bait like a catfish on a summer afternoon. You don't need to be militaristic, sabre-rattling, Bush-enabling, nuclear-bomb-on-the-table-having "tough" in order to keep America safe. Its the worst kind of political theater - the kind that uses the lives of hundreds of thousands of real human beings as props.

9. Obama co-sponsered a bill that had harsher language toward Iran just months before Kyl-Lieberman.
K-L in no way "gives Bush a green light to attack Iran." Only the ignorant or false would say or believe such nonsense.

13. You are the one in ignorance. Congress already gave Bush the authority to go after terrorists
The Kyl-Lieberman declaration that Iran's militia is a terrorist organization, was the green light for Bush to attack Iran under authority given to him on the aftermath of 9-11.

Your warmongering "girl" knows that, and that's why she voted it, because your "girl" wants to bomb Iran.

20. Indiana Green, you need to be better informed
I don't know who you support, but it is a flat fact That Senator Obama SUPPORTS the IRG terror designation.

It is his official position both before and after K/L, and he spoke in approval of the IRG designation the day Condi made the designation official.

This is not his implied position, or something deduced from other bills or out of context comments.

It is his official position on the matter. He has spoken on this many times.
