2. not to mention his support of freedom fighters
of course those freedom fighters were attacking civilian targets and later morphed into Al queda....but who could have predicted that feeding radicals and encouraging attacks on civilian targets could possibly backfire.

10. or in Nicaragua, "Commandante Suicida "
I mean that sounds like the name of a Mexican wrestler.

How cool!

With a name like that, he should have fronted a death metal band.

If he had, a lot of people would be better off.

A lot of people who are now really really dead

4. I lived in CA when he was governor.
I endured his presidency.

I can remember only one "cool" thing.

He came to speak to a group of workers in the aerospace industry. I was married to one of them, so I took the day off work and went to hear him speak. It was a relatively small crowd, and he's the only president I ever got to see in real life.

Back when I believed that the office of the President deserved some respect whether or not the current person in office did.

5. The only "cool" thing about Reagan that I can think of. . .
is Ron Reagan, Jr.

Other than that, I have an autographed photo of Nancy Reagan at an orphanage that I am holding until a certain time when I can sell it to a collector.

12. He had some great quotes...

"I have left orders to be awakened at any time in case of national emergency, even if I'm in a cabinet meeting."

"Politics is not a bad profession. If you succeed there are many rewards, if you disgrace yourself you can always write a book. "

"Thomas Jefferson once said, 'We should never judge a president by his age, only by his works.' And ever since he told me that, I stopped worrying"

"Before I refuse to take your questions, I have an opening statement. "

"How can a president not be an actor? "

"One picture is worth 1,000 denials. "
