The more information that comes out, the clearer it becomes that he is an angry and bitter man whose psyche has been twisted a childhood rape by a male relative and homophobia in the Black community and the gospel industry in particular. He is an emotionally damaged person with serious internalized homophobia.

He is a perfect example of why Black people need to confront head on issues of homophobia and the use of religion to attack LGBT people immediately.

Enough that he had any idea Donnie was anything more than a gospel singer. There is nothing wrong with associating with someone at a birthday party who happens to be a gospel singer. 1. As you said, this guy's messed in the head.

Bashing him as the poster child of "anti-gay" is just bashing somebody messed in the head. He should be confronted in private, because indeed he's going to keep hiding behind his faith.

My point is that he's CONFUSED moreso than he's Anti-Gay. He should be mocked and pitied, if mentioned at all. This is like equating a self-hating jew or self-hating black with the incredible racists out there. It's not exactly the same... and this guy could use more understanding than indignation.

2. Hillary vs Obama

Hillary has herself associated with anti-gay types and unsavory characters. It's important to bring equal attention to all... rather than to get hung up in the us/them politics.

Every time i hear somebody mention McClurkin in an Obama/Clinton thread, i roll my eyes. Clinton's record isnt perfect, either.
