To Edwards supporters-I'm sorry...
I remember in the last election I supported Wes Clark and was heart-broken when he dropped out before I could vote for him in the primary. I wish he would've stayed in 'til the end. Now that I think back to that time, I want to apologize for saying things about how Edwards should drop out. I hope he stays in as long as he can. I only wished MY candidate would've done the same last time. Sorry! :hi:

2. Very well said!
Apology accepted. :-)

Although it really (for me) wasn't necessary. Primaries are always difficult times. Things get really hot and really rough around here. This too shall pass.

But it sure is good to see a little empathy and consideration for others.

4. Thanks, jenmito.
I was sorely disappointed with his performance yesterday, but there's always hope. It's good to see a positive post now and then. And hey, I like Obama too, so your guy can count on my support if Edwards drops out!

6. People take this stuff too personally. Just because Wes and Edwards aren't good politicians
doesn't mean they are bad. It just means they probably won't win. I've seen so many take it as a personal attack on their choice for President. It's more about electibility.

8. I know. It just hit me how badly I felt in '04...
so who am I to say someone else's choice should drop out?!

10. True. In Wes' defense, I think he would be more effective as Sec of Def
I have confidence he wouldn't put men and women into harm's way without absolute necessity. He could be a Def. Sec. of peace. :-)

13. At the time, enough time hadn't passed that he could've been Sec. of Def.
Maybe NOW, but not in '04.

18. and there is the real irony
Edwards HAS electability - he is the only dem who consistantly outpolls all the pugs

What he does not have is nominatability - because the democratic party just loves to go on quixotic tears, shooting itself in the foot and leaving the pugs to own the WH. It wants to show how enlightened it is, so it doesn't care if it wins.

9. We need a primary voting calendar that allows all candidates to raise enough
cash in time for the consideration of all voters instead of the way it's done now.

In the meantime, this is a class post, jenmito, and I say thanks to you for putting up here tonight.

Presidential cycle this year will mean that the Pukes will throw a ticket at us and will try to undermine any ticket we nominate. The more good will and standing-together there is among our candidate camps, the better we repel their cheating and smearing, which we know is coming.

Thanks for this, and let's kick a few Republican butts in November!

12. I think every candidate should have exactly the same amount of money and
may the best person win.

Thanks.

Yes, let's do this! :hi:

I supported Dean in the last election, so I know.

However, I'm not giving up on Edwards.
