“Right has no sex and truth has no color”
http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/01/20/clintonblack/

In his brief remarks, Dr. Butts, who is black, also seemed to anticipate criticism that he is somehow betraying his race by not supporting Senator Obama, who is also African-American.

This “is not a race-based decision for me, and I hope it’s not a race-based decision for you, either,” he said to about 80 boisterous Cllinton supporters.

Senator Clinton, at his side, dismissed the idea that the endorsement would create a rift in the party and paraphrased Frederick Douglass, the 19th-century black abolitionist.
“Right has no sex and truth has no color,” she said.

Yeah as a matter of fact I do, the past several days "munster" has posted something about race. Seems alittle obsessed with race IMO. Didn't he post somethign that said white people don't want to vote for a black candidate whos divisive or some stupid shit like that? How is he NOT a race baiter is the question I have.

8. I'm not supposed to notice the tenor of these newbie posts.
But it's hard not to. Coming onto this board and accusing people of race baiting. Who would that profit, I wonder?

Charlie! You need to talk to Obama again!

12. obamabots are what will ultimately bring him down
Edited on Mon Jan-21-08 12:55 AM by Herman Munster
America is not interested in cries of racism and victimization at every little thing that pops up. But don't let me stop you from digging the Obama campaign's grave. Just keep crying and whining.

19. We have a huge problem with racism in this country. We can not ignore it. It is
good to talk about it --in a civil way.

11. “Hillary stands for the people.”
........But by and large it was a Clinton crowd, including Genieve Facey, 52, a Harlem resident and hair stylist who attends the church.

“As a black person, I’m still not going in this for race,” said Ms. Facey. “Hillary stands for the people.”

I can't make up my mind who is worse, Clinton or Obama. I'm glad voting is optional in America.

23. voting is optional?
that comment alone made me join this group just so i could
respond to that opinion...I am shocked that you would word it
as such an "option". It is a GIFT given to us. a
CHOICE. What exactly will wasting your vote accomplish?

Poster 10 has typed the full endorsement statement. I couldn't find outside confirmation so I didnt copy it here...but its worth reading.

I also thought this was a good point:

"What’s really PATHETIC is Obama supporters standing outside the church. Were they trying to intimidate the congregation? It sure looks like it. "
