I'm taking today off from writing for my candidate and hope others will join me in honoring this great man of peace. More than racial equality, more than freedom from economic oppression, Martin Luther King Jr. stands for Peace. Peace among neighbors. Neighbors of all races, religions, ages or political affiliation.

That's how I remember Dr. King.

I have a Dream.

• A dream that one day no DUer will look down on other members with scorn.


• A dream that one day we will climb the steps of the Capital in unity.


• A dream that as progressives with a unifying cause we will one day take back this land from the oppressors.


• A dream that one year from today a Democrat will be in the White House.
