It amazes me that at a time when the Dems have a fabulous group of candidates, we're doing a better job of trashing them than the Republicans could ever dream of doing.

We're all we've got and we have to find a way to stick to the main tent and avoid the sideshows. The main tent is getting a Democrat in the White House and getting Republicans out of Congress.

4. This primary season

is in a lot of ways like it was in 2003 and 2004. There are emotions running high among the faithful AND there are FR types who are infiltrating just to stir shit up. Hell they were even going to do a "Great Unmasking" just to rub it in once the election was over back then, (I don't think it ever happened though) of freepers who were just here to cause disruption. This season is like that too. In a way it's good that we've learned what kind of underhanded tactics the pukes use these days and see them for what they are and hopefully not get blindsided like Kerry did with the swiftboat scum. GD Politics was created to at least keep the main board from getting too irritating (Is there a way to keep GD Politics off the Latest threads page?) but there is always the ignore feature which if used judiciously makes for a much more pleasant DU experience.

That is it!! Our nominee will be going into the GE bloodied and battered, by us, the Repubs will only have to finish the job, and we have handed them the gameplan to do so. My goal, and I believe most of us want exactly what you state, however some have a strange way of showing it. If we are to have any chance of doing this we must become united, NOW, or live to regret the consequences.
