I support them all. Because I'm a Democrat first. And because each of these candidates stands for the principles I believe in. And because I believe that, while each of them brings a different set of talents, experience, perspectives, backgrounds - and, yes, weaknesses, every one of them would make an excellent president.

I refuse to play the dangerous game of picking apart Democratic candidates because they're not perfect, or because they made a mistake somewhere in their lives or careers, or because they don't agree me 140% of the time. If that were my standard, *I* would be the only candidate qualified to run since I am the ONLY person with whom I don't disagree on something (and, can I really say that - sometimes, I even end up arguing with myself when no one is looking).

And, no - this doesn't mean that just because someone has a "D" after their name, I will support them no matter what. But every one of THESE "D"s is an outstanding public servant, has excellent policies that would bring real, positive changes in our lives, the country, and the world, and would make me proud to call them "President . . . "

So, you can bicker and bitch and nitpick and attack all you want. I won't join in. Because I know these are all good people, who have put their lives on hold and their asses on the line to try to improve their communities, the nation and the world. I respect and admire them all. And I can't wait to see which one of them wins this nomination so I can watch them go into the General Election and take this country back for ALL of us!

GOOOO Dems!!!!

P.S. - If you're inclined to slip into this thread to bash any candidate, please take a breath and then take it somewhere else.

3. Any of ours are better than any of theirs
The good thing about a close fight is it gives the ability for those of us working for a minority candidate to have a say. Hopefully we'll have a real convention with real negotiation.

That can't help but be a good thing for us.

4. Happy to give this #5 rec!
I'm an Edwards supporter...but honestly, I won't be gnashing my teeth and tearing out my hair if he isn't the nominee. I'll work hard for whichever one of our very fine candidates is the nominee.

5. THANK YOU!
Excellent post. I respect those who support their chosen candidate; I have one myself. And I respect those who argue, on the issues, for their favorite candidate. But this hatred and candidate-bashing on things other than the issues is self-defeating.

I'm proud of all our Democratic candidates. This is the best field in my memory, and I include those who have dropped out. I like one more than others, but I'll be proud to vote for the nominee.
