# Of the 857 miscounts, 401 from both scanner and hand count precincts are known to be or clearly appear to be simple human error.*

2. Hell, if she can rig an election that well she'll be unstoppable in the fall.
She might even win Georgia.

8. No, I didn't want the recount because I had confidence
in New Hampshire

I didn't want to cry wolf over something which was explainable by examining the numbers themselves.
Skinner posted here and said the exit polls match the outcome

You can probably find his post.

11. I was referring to "you" generally and not you personally.
I hate the ev machines and want all of them - voting machines and secretive tabulators - thrown out. Many places are doing just that.

But the optical scanners are the most reliable as long as they are attended to with many witnesses and not in secret. I also support auditing of all types, including randomly at both voting locations and tabulating centers.

I support parallel manual voting comparing those results with any machine voting that is used.

10. machines can be trusted...if you trust the people in control of the machines
or if you have lots of people looking over the shoulders of the people who are looking at the machines

But if you don't trust who's in control of the machine, it does not matter how trustworthy the machine is.

12. I glad they recounted,
maybe it will stop the same BS being tossed around whenever she wins a primary. I'm dreaming of course.

18. Looks like I have a decent chance to "win"
In the Election Reform forum last week there was a poll asking for predictions of what the NH recount would show. The first option was, "Diebold machines more accurate than hand count." Not a single person had chosen that response. But I did. Then someone else followed a day or so later, for a grand total of 2.

Obviously we need paper trails but at that point let me wager on the automated tally and I'll dust the paranoid cynics virtually every time.

19. audits - random mandatory audits - as in Holt's HR811 - are all that is needed to get back to fair
elections.
