7. Anderson Cooper's career...
Maybe the commercials and the halfwitted punditocracy that will "claim" the winner...

8. Hey, at least it's better than the Republican debates, where "sleep" usually wins.

12. Edwards needs to
break out of the box, not just perform brilliantly as if this was debating school or a jury court. If he can't see a way to smash the game and the contestant constraints he can't possible do enough. Most people
don't watch and most people even if watching get spun(easily since our three candidates are no slouches).
And despite having the right sense, the personal victimization, the right place generally on the issues, the collective mind is always mired in simple fog and affected by trivialities. Why on earth would Californians in a coup situation vote for a second class actor and Bush friend?

The newness of the TV forum squeaked a win conceivably for JFK who manipulated it. Now we go into de-fanged GOP controlled settings and play by their rules trying to insert helpless rhetorical brilliance. JFK LOST that debate on radio and in the print. Bush still held his own in debates in print and the gatekeepers keep bending natural observations away from viewer judgment.

Do something new smart and revolutionary. How? Beats me. they have a multiple repressing system to prevent any liberal from taking advantage of media adjudicated forums. The quality and the ideas have to leak through when the palpable reality of the GOP is so bad no one can save it. That represses the agenda, the most liberal candidates, the party and at the least eats away at a fraud decimated mandate we could have out there just on the majority common sense level.

I say could because even on a fair playing field the mass of the citizenry is not that up to challenges and not that radicalized- or led- by the inescapable crisis of events(which is not good for sound decisions).

It would be great if someone got inspired up there somewhere, because down here the costs in blood and lives are piling up.

14. Now the race is on...
...and here comes pride up the back stretch,
Heartaches a goin' to the inside,
My tears are holding back, tryin' not to fall.
My heart's out of the running,
True love scratched for another's sake,
The race is on and it looks like heartaches,
And the winner loses all.
