So what's with the constant overtly sexist references to Senator Clinton?
"Harpy"
"Witch"
"Skank"
"Whore"
"She should wear a dress"

Maybe the women who support Obama on this board should do the rest of us a favor and start shutting down this bullshit that their male compatriots are spewing before it even starts. (And, yes, I realize it's even some women who are doing this, as much as it boggles the mind.)

This is not about partisan politics, it's about acting like adults instead of stupid ass teenaged assholes.

1. Please alert when you see sexist posts.
Otherwise, the moderators will not find them.

We would prefer that such posts not remain on our website.

I disagree with sexist posts, of course, but I don't see why Obama supporters should be held liable for sexist asswipes.

17. Please explain.
I said that sexist posts are bad, but I do not see why I should take any special degree of responsibility (that is, more than, say, an Edwards or Clinton supporter would) over the actions of other Obama supporters. Why does this mean I shouldn't complain about racism?

It's a moot point because I don't, but I'm curious.

22. Many Obama supporters have repeatedly blamed Hillary supporters for any and all racist nonsense
Edited on Tue Jan-22-08 09:29 PM by dsc
posted here and elsewhere. People who do that can't go around and say "you can't blame me for sexist nonsense".

31. not a fan, but I totally agree
That crap is not acceptable. I hope she is defeated in the primary, but not due to residual effects of that cumulative sexist BS.
Of course, I wouldn't necessarily assume those kind of statements would be a net negative for her support, most likely the opposite.

32. Agreed..
Tried a little experiment..
I noticed some people, (women) using these very terms when it was all the rage to attack Hillary on this basis..
Oh..it was so funny, the girls tittered..Hillary was a shrill, catty, bitch and if she couldn't handle this, she was better off staying home.
A little while later..I replied to some of those same women..and referred to them as Catty..and shrill..
Those same women who laughed with glee as they did the same thing to Hillary, were suddenly horrified..and offended beyond word. Alerts flew.
Was I wrong to use sexist terms?
absolutly..
but my point was that it was just as wrong when the gals were doing it to Hillary.
They didn't like the treatment they were dishing out..not one bit.

33. Kucitizens are not into that
We just think that being pro-imperial domination isn't particularly feminist, since it's always women that lose the war of each against all (see "Iraq").
