Obama admits that he "Pushed the Wrong Button"
as per article in the L.A. Times quoted by Breszinsky and Scarboro in today's Morning Joe.

Pushed the wrong botton on those votes where he voted "present" ? Come on. It even boggled scarboro's mind. according to Scarboro there is a green button which means yes, a red button which means no, and a yellow botton which means abstain!

So, once again, Obama is not taking responsibility for his votes or his actions. He is excusing (and with a lame excuse at that) his votes and his actions and people think this is a guy who is going to be ready to stand up to foreign enemies? he will be ducking for cover faster than bush ducked to the underground bunker in nevada on 9/11!

And, not only, that ... Pushing the Wrong Button in an Age of N-u-c-l-e-a-r weapons ... could send us all to oblivion where we might all find obama at the pearly gates telling all us also there at the pearly gates, "i made a mistake. that wasn't the button i intended to push!" come on. give me a break!

2. The article, though not damning, highlights the fact that he is NOT ready.

18. Maybe he was trying to push the button
with his feet? He did, after all, want to challenge Bill Clinton to a dance off.

20. LOL! Well, it's a good thing the Presidency isn't conducted like a video game--
Obama's guy would be dead in the first five minutes.

4. Oh please, I highly doubt that there's one "button" that the President pushes
to start a nuclear launch--the missile-silo guy does THAT, and it's not one button. This is just silly. Give it a rest.

5. did he really say that he pushed the wrong button?
If so, that's right up there with Bill's "I smoked, but didn't inhale" fiasco.

10. Is it worse than "I voted for it, but I secretly hoped it wouldn't pass, because
I didn't agree with it"? That wasn't the wrong button--that was just a bizarre admission.

13. that comment was that he 'tried', but made him cough, so he couldn't inhale, but he didn't say he
didn't say he couldn't swallow a brownie..

that was just spun to make him look foolish.. but it was funny

24. Wouldn't it be appropriate to categorize these picadillos? Bill's "inhale" is matched with Barak's
teenage drug use. Bill comes out looking cleaner. I think the voting issue can be paired w/ Hillary's IWR and K-L votes in which case Barak wins.

I have to think you probably don't, but some of the stuff I hear from you guys is getting so absurd, I can't always be sure these days.

the fct that EVERYONE lies once in a whil...especially politicians, and for many different reasons, but SMART PEOPLE at least tell believable lies! Repeatedly "pushing the wrong button" is one of the dumbest excuses I've heard in a long time!

What a novel concept in a Presidential candidate.

Doesn't honesty disqualify you from the White House?

No wonder Hillary still stands behind her IWR and Kyle-Lieberman votes.

16. h.o.w.e.v.e.r ....... that is not what he said in the debates, there, he said that
he was not sure about whether his vote could benefit or help the issue being voted on.

that is quite different from, "i pushed the wrong button!"

He sounds like John Kerry Lite. He is like trying to catch a lightning bug in a jar. Can someone please explain his defense on the accusations against him? He sounds like " i didn't inhale' on every subject.

28. do you understand what triangling is?
that is what obama does. i see hillary as trying to have a 1:1 debate with obama and trying to set the record straight ... while he goes crying to the press about whatever button he wants to push... not responding on a 1:1 to her and going to the press -- that is triangling.

32. let me see ...
triangling, according to murray bowen, m.d., the man who coined the phrase is when, for instance, two people have a problem and pull in a third person to resolve it for them.

it seems to me that the obama people have been pulling in the press to attack hillary on his behalf rather than standing up and dealing directly with hillary, or if his problem is with bill, he is not dealing directly with bill either.

the clintons are trying to respond directly to obama, although they keep getting pulled in by the press who is taking obama's side.

that is what triangling is.

I suppose if it were actually relevant, I'd be concerned about it. But, as it seems to be another bullshit story with no other purposes than to slam a candidate, I'll give it all the consideration it's due...

"Pushing the Wrong Button in an Age of N-u-c-l-e-a-r weapons ... could send..."

There's too many fail-safes and safe guard for that type of accident to happen from the office of the President... which is why it's just another bullshit story.
