1. But, I thought that my own personal life was completely indicative of the entire voting public!
Are you saying that I'm mistaken?

4. depends on how many people are at your local 'drinking liberally.'
If you get more than 6, and 4 feel like you do, well that's a national barometer.

7. A natural barometer for that particular bar, perhaps.
The problem is that people extrapolate that to 140 million voters.

Hmm, I wonder what the MOE is on that one? :)

2. So my uncle, a lifelong Democrat,
told me he'd vote for any Republican but Huckabee if Hillary gets the nom.

My take is that these two morons cancel each other out. Back to square one, I guess. Now what do we do?

3. I have 1,200 cousins...all of them "lifelong Democrats" and they'll vote McCain if Obama's on ticket
making this stuff up is fun and easy. I wonder if anyone is ever swayed by anecdotal evidence...specially evidence of a dubious nature?

26. As I stated down below
My mom claims she wont vote for Obama. She would NEVER vote puke - she'll just skip that race and vote on the downticket races. The rest of the family is hoping we can change her mind.

6. I always get a kick out of those posts....
the other ones I think are funny (and bullshit) are the "I don't know of one person who is voting for Hillary". Funny she is polling ahead of the others but I guess that doesn't count.

9. It's all very funny....but I am not laughing...
....half my household will not vote for Obama in the general, thanks to all the bitterness the media has presented....and that pisses me off because THAT anti-Obama vote cancels out my vote for Obama should he be the nominee.

13. In real life, I know NOT ONE democrat who is willing to vote for Obama
and few who are supportive of Hillary. Not many are very supportive of Edwards either.
The comments I hear are "Why should I bother?" or "I just don't care anymore" or things along those lines.
It's very frustrating.

I live in a Republican stronghold & we really need our dems to show up and vote. We've been nipping at their heels for the last several years but the local Democratic Party Leaders are reporting that we are losing support & interest quickly.

It is an uphill battle. I don't understand why it has to be this way. Who the hell needs to be pushed or forced to vote???

20. what's so great about McCain? Is it that old republican feeling that the pres has to be
a man who has worn a uniform. That is why they hate clinton, hillary and so many others. We had those people at our caucus in 04 and all they could talk about was how kerry would win because he wore the uniform. then they promptly swiftboated him. Face it voting for a republican who says we can stay in Iraq for 50 or 100 years is just voting for bush again.
