Obama wants US "To Turn the Page"... To what--it's BLANK?
Obama seems to be having trouble capturing an "image". He's compared himself to both Kennedys, MLK, Lincoln and has even enlisted Oprah to enhance his image and street credibility.. Oprah says: "He's the One".. as nebulous a statement as an unfinished symphony..."One Who"? Obama's comparisons are to accomplished American Heroes. Does Obama consider himself their "peer"? What braggadocio!

What has Obama actually accomplished? What has Obama ever done to have the audacity of comparing himself to people who have never met him or that he himself has never known?

......crickets........crickets........crickets........crickets........crickets........crickets......

Michelle wants us to "Turn the Page" but no one sees anything on that next page because it's BLANK!

Obama has never been through the vetting process. No one knows very much about him, except what he's told us about himself in two books. Since when do we elect candidates who are strangers to Americans to be their President? I say again, Who is Barack Hussein Obama? Are we electing a man to the most important job in America that no one knows the first thing about? I have serious doubts that would be a prudent path to follow. Americans expect more from the next president because of the mess we're in thanks to the current president.

Here is what we do know: (after a month and a half into Obama's campaign)

WASHINGTON -- Sen. Barack Obama's presidential campaign, 46 days old on Tuesday, has run into some speed bumps, created because of a series of missteps magnified because he is under microscopic scrutiny.

It's too early to say whether the gaffes slow Obama's momentum -- or if they become barricades, extracting a more significant price for the Illinois Democrat's White House bid. They are getting noticed.

Consider the items that have been accumulating since Obama announced on Feb. 10: (after only 46 days)

• Marking the anniversary of the March 1965 "Bloody Sunday" in Selma, Ala., Obama, speaking at a church, said his parents got together "because of what happened in Selma." Obama was born in 1961.

• Obama told Larry King on CNN -- asked about that anti-Hillary Rodham Clinton YouTube ad, a doctored version of a spot created for Apple computers -- "We don't have the technical capacity to create something like that."

Obama did not know what he was talking about. Any professional media consultant can manipulate images on video. Turns out the creator -- unmasked last week as a political operative who worked for a firm overseeing the technical side of Obama's Web site -- made it at home on a Mac.

• Obama, asked if homosexuality was immoral, in the wake of comments by Joint Chiefs of Staff chairman Gen. Peter Pace, sidestepped the question. After pressure from gay groups, Obama issued a statement stating he did not agree with Pace "that homosexuality is immoral."

"Cynicism is like terrorism?"..(since when?)

• One of Obama's stump lines is that the biggest obstacle he fights is not any of his rivals, it is cynicism. He used a variation of it during a reception he hosted at a conference here sponsored by AIPAC, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee. Displaying a tin ear, Obama said that one of the enemies is not "just terrorists" or "just Hezbollah" or "just Hamas" -- "it's also cynicism."

• The Tribune dug this up: Obama, in his memoir, Dreams of My Father, writes of a story in Life magazine that influenced him -- about a black man trying to bleach his skin white. No such article could be found in Life or Ebony.

"Insider or outsider?" (Obama doublespeak, rears it's ugly head again!)

• Another Obama stump line -- he said it again Tuesday morning to the Communications Workers of America here -- is that "I've been long enough in Washington to know that Washington needs to change." He is running against Washington yet his campaign is populated with political professionals who are Washington insiders.

• Obama's embrace of some rhetoric used by rival John Edwards is getting attention. Edwards, in a 2003 speech made for his first presidential run said, "I've spent enough time in Washington to know how much we need to change Washington."

Bill Burton, an Obama spokesman, said in reaction to the Obama stumbles: "If there are people looking for a candidate running to be the darling of the Washington insider crowd, this campaign is not for them. We are encouraged by the growing, unflinching support of Americans who believe we can transform our country by changing our politics. (when did Bill Burton stop doing damage control?)

Eleven months into the Democratic Campaign, I see little improvement in the accuracy of Obama's speeches. When his statements are challenged and expecting him to take responsibility for his words..what does he do?

He whines, he's being attacked! Well, thats one thing we know for sure about him..

What kind of trouble will Obama get us into with unfriendly dictators because he doesn't say what he means OR mean what he says? Will he whine our way into another terrorist attack because he's inadvertently insulted a world leader or perhaps another war? It's a Roll of the Dice betting Obama can do what he says...past experience is the best predictor of the future... so, far Obama's performance is sub-par.. Do we need another presidency unprepared to measure up to the Job?

The differences between Obama and Hillary are vast. Hillary says what she means and not only stands by her statements but is prepared to back them up. Hillary doesn't talk (preach) at us like Obama. Hillary is well aware of our needs. Hillary talks to us...and showcases her plans for a better life and her vision of a revitalized America..

It's called having a 'productive conversation' with your candidate, a hallmark of Hillary's campaign.

2. A blank page is better than HRC's last 8 years of service
Which is a record of cowardice and enthusiastic collaboration with the Bush regime,

4. yes, it's a blank page
because we can write it however we want. Unlike Clinton, who will turn the page back to the pages written in the 90s. The one's we've read already.

But I suppose if you're the type of person who likes reading the same book over and over again, vote Clinton. If you like something new, vote Obama.

"But more to the point, it strikes me as unfair to claim that Obama lacks relevant experience for the presidency. When he ran in 1992, Bill Clinton had been the governor of a small, rural southern state; as such, he had only limited experience with national issues and no foreign policy experience to speak of. Incidentally, at this point in the 2008 presidential election, Hillary Clinton has served as an elected official in the U.S. Senate for not quite eight years, and before that a First Lady in the White House. Obama has so far held elective office for almost twelve years, at both levels of government – first as an Illinois state senator and then as a U.S. Senator. Before that he was a community organizer among Chicago’s poor, and then a civil rights lawyer – two experiences that in my view are critically relevant to anyone seeking to become president of all Americans. Obama’s international experience comes first hand – his father was a goat-herder in Kenya, and Obama spent a portion of his childhood in Indonesia. And as an African-American, with all the personal experience that implies, Obama seems particularly well qualified to understand the issues that need to be addressed in order to unify America and renew the nation’s moral authority around the world."

7. And before that BillClinton was an AG..
As Governor, you get plenty of Executive experience. Even so, Bill waited before he ran for president. He waited until he had more experience and felt ready enough to take on the task of the presidency.

I don't see that with Obama. It's all about HIM... Not what he can DO for us as demonstrated in his record! What record?
