So did Ghouliani propell himself to a first place finish in FL or was this his last stand?

Pat Buchanan said Rudy is planning to drop out after Florida, and endorse McCain.

13. It sure seemed like Rudy was going through the motions tonight...
... he had the same look that fighters often have when they realize their career is over, just before they announce their retirement. He is not the same candidate that the MSM declared all but inevitable for over a year.

11. there would be no point in butting Guiliani on a ticket.
If anyonoe on that stage will be McCain's VP it will definitely be Huckabee for the evangelical vote.

15. The only way it would work is if they think they are desperate
Ordinarily they would shore up their base if they nominate someone like McCain but Giuliani has a chance if they calculate they are so desperate they need Giuliani's popularity, or at least hope he can revive his former popularity, to give them a fighting chance in November.

19. If Guiliani were that popular he would be doing better in the polls.
I don't think anyone wants someone with that much corruption on their ticket. McCain may also think he has a problem with evangelical voters and put Huckabee on the VP ticket to even things out.
