Is Obama's candidacy divisive?

Why would so many Dems objects to what they are doing.

3. Division is a matter of degrees

All of our democrats are divisive. Clearly by spending a lot of time on DU in the last few weeks there isn't any consensus around any candidate. I don't see why Obama should be painted this way and not Edwards, though Hillary is always called divisive. I did a poll last week and found that 70% of DUs respondents have decided who they are supporting. That indicates to me that we have some very strong lines drawn in our party and that they don't come down to one candidate.

Secondly, a candidates divisiveness will really be established once the general election comes into focus.

4. The way it happened and was presented by the Media.

Obama himself is not divisive but the Media and some of his
surrogates have done real damage.
