Hillary, Barrack, or John, regardless of who wins the Democratic Nom, do you think that WE could combat the 'tough' image of John McCain with Jim Webb. I want him to break out his son's combat boots and hit the trail with whomever gets the nomination from our side.

Should we hope that Jim Webb is the VP candidate?

1. Hillary is the only one who won't need him but she might pick him anyway

3. Please...
So many Repubs hate McCain. There are freepers vowing to stay home on election day if he is the nom.

Right now the race is for the Dems to lose... all the repubs suck by the estimation of large swaths of Republic voters.

8. I agree. Two sitting senators could cost us the Senate and
the committee chairs, just when our Dem president needs them to move the country.

7. Webb needs to stay in the Senate
He's probably the closest thing to an actual Democrat they'll ever get from Virginia.

Besides, 2 senators on the ticket is a bad idea. I'm sure John Edwards will remember that reality when he's the nominee. Best to go with a governor, for the balanced experience. There's always Wes Clark if you want to play up the military angle.

The only Senator I see as viable is Obama, and I doubt he'd join a HRC or JRE ticket. (Then again, HRC may pull a Reagan and convince him to become her #2.)

Instead, look West or, if Obama is not the nom, Mid-West. Both areas are going to be the main battleground areas this year.
