For the Webb for VP enthusiasts, could you tell me what I'm missing
Webb has been a Senator for 1 year and he was Sec of the Navy for 10 months. Does he have other gov't experience? In addition, he's been married 3 times. I like Webb a lot as a U.S. Senator but I don't see what he brings to the table that's so special as a VP choice.

He should stay in the Senate.

4. We need a guy like Webb in the senate. I want him to stay put.
I think Kathleen Sebelius would make a great choice for V.P. An Edwards/Sebelius ticket would be nice.

5. not really an enthusiast, but I'd like to see a 'tough, guy" up for the spot
I think that this would be smart in order to 'look tough' against whomever the repukes put up there. I dont care who it is, but I shake with fear at the thought of a "lieberman-esque, foppish twit" running mate. I want someone with balls who embraces the Democratic ideals to fight for the White House this November.

6. Leave him where he is. We in VA need him and if he's VP, I can promise you we won't see
another Dem Senator from here in a long time. The position the Dems have taken on the amnesty of illegal immigrants will kill them here. We're overrun with illegals in NVA and local governments are starting to take alot of actions to quiet the crowd noise. Dems are against every one of these actions. Some of them are really insane, but some do make sense. People are now asking school systems to publish the expenses just associated with ESL programs, all the costs to duplicate every notice, presentation, etc in Spanish and English and the list goes on and on. Plus, we've been building new schools like they're free and folks want to know if they all would have been necessary if we weren't trying to educate the children of illegals. Folks are fed up with high taxes while seeing hundreds of illegals lined up at 7-11's daily for work that is paid in cash with no taxes. You can't get into an ER without huge waits, with reception areas crammed with non-English speaking folks who many assume may be illegal.

Plus, Webb will be campaigning with Mark Warner as he runs for Governor to replace our current Dem governor. That won't happen if he has to campaign on a national ticket.

7. I prefer Jon Tester
I think it'd be an awesome scene of a young, skinny black guy from Chicago and a huge hulking white guy with a crew cut teaming up to take on the GOP.

You couldn't write a script like that in Hollywood.
