New strategy for dealing with Republicker acquaintances: Agree with their candidates on something
Now, first of all, note that I said "acquaintances" and not friends.

"Republican Friend" is an oxymoronic phrase. Nobody has a "Republican Friend." Republicans are friends to no one but themselves.

Anyway...

The next time a Republicker acquaintance insists on trying to cram their politics down your throat, and start to cream their pants over how wonderful they think their crazy-ass candidate is, try THIS strategy.

Step 1: Think of the most "far-left" belief that you have. Preferably the one that the Republicker in question would be most horrified by.
Step 2: Tell them you do not like their candidate, because he disagrees with that "far-left" belief.
Step 3: Then go on to think of something that their Repuke candidate believes that you DO agree with. Preferably something Liberal-sounding. Exaggerate your position if necessary. Sound as "far-left" as you can.

Example: "I would never vote for Mike Huckabee, because he doesn't believe in gay marriage. I think people should be free to marry any person, animal, or object they want to-- be it a man, woman, hamster or toaster. But on the other hand, I agree with Huckabee that the children of illegal immigrants should be afforded the full benefits of American society, including in-state tuition rates at colleges."

And then go on to "compliment" their candidate on any "liberal-sounding" positions they may have.

Hearing some far-left liberal loon extremist compliment their candidate on his "liberal" positions may just frustrate them so much that on election day, they'll just stay home and cook crystal meth instead of getting out to vote.
