She told him that he was "gorgeous" and very "handsome'. and asked if it embarrassed him.He said"yes". She was surprisingly well informed on her research and said once she read what he has said and done she "believes him, and thinks he would so what he says' She talked about his lack of media and the discrimination against him because he was "white".She actually had the guts to go there! I was stunned. She really likes him as did most of the women in the audience. He was very well received, and the audience asked decent questions. He was cute and witty and very natural!.She even asked him about the Kerry endorsement and said She "was never going to forgive Kerry"! Later she said he was like "JFK, another looker"! This was a really cute show that handled issues and fun.

1. Thanks, saracat
I haven't seen the show yet. Still trying to find it on my lineup. It sounds great...a whole hour of John Edwards!

2. I can't help but think all the free publicity he's gotten in the last week
has helped him immensely. Letterman, Olbermann, and Banks have all given him a voice that the corporate news media has denied him and it's making a real difference. I think that goes to PROVE what we've been saying all along--he was being marginalized and the more people see, the more they like.

8. Most of the audience appeared to be "college" ageand most
questioners referenced that they were either attending college or has just graduated. Also Cate taped a message to her Dad about young people which leads me to believe that is the demo the Campaign was told it reached.

6. This is great
He certainly has been getting a lot of media attention this week. Glad Tyra
took the media to task and said he's been discriminated against. That's quite a statement. Go John! And thanks Tyra!

9. And she really did.I was under the impression that she had endorsed Obama but it sure sounded like
Edited on Fri Jan-25-08 08:12 PM by saracat
she supported John. She even read and quoted from his book "Four Trials" and raved about it.She read his mothers menus and inferred it sounded like they were more "black" than other candidates.Hmmm.

14. Aw - I have a crush on him too
I admit it. I wish he had caught fire early on, but it just wasn't in the cards for him this time. I love his positions, and actually prefer his HC plan to Hillary's - though Hillary will finally get affordable coverage available to every American, it just won't lead to single payer as fast as John's.

I hate being a one-issue voter, but the only dem candidate that has done something so heinous to completely turn me off from him is Obama. And this is because of hiring McClurkin and accepting the support of other ex-gays. That is beyond the pale for me. I'm a yellow dog dem through and through and would vote for him in the general, but it would be more a vote against the GOP rather than a show of enthusiastic support.
