Face it people they all suck.
Will we ever have an election with real candidates running? I feel like I'm shopping for a new Lexus and finding only old used beater Fords on the lot. I feel that we always end up choosing/deciding between or among the lesser of two or three evils. I look at the GOP (Gathering Of the Pathetic) camp and see a seething heap of a junk yard that I don't even want to go near. But in our camp where have all the FDRs and JFKs gone? There has to be Someone out there that we can run that is worthy of the Job. *sigh*

1. The JFK's of the world end up being assassinated.

Nobody wants to go up against the oligarchy any more.

2. Yup. You have to be very sneaky
if you're obvious, forget it.

3. No they don't.
If you can't find a single candidate in our current field to please you, then you need to evaluate your party affiliation.

And if FDR and JFK are what you consider "ideal Democrats," then you need to read some history.

9. I'm leaning to Obama
But I'm tired of the damn cat fighting between him and Clinton. So now I'm exploring Edwards. He has some ideas that some may call wacky but I call it thinking out of the box.

BTW abandon the DNC? HA yeah right!
We are die hard Democrats over here. Im only 22 but I feel old school. Gramps was a union leader and my dad always sits out politically out but Hates Bush more than me, (if that is possible?) My Mother volunteered for the Carter/Mondale ticket and for Bill in 1992. So for me to be chased out of the party is unthinkable.

I like Kucinich and hope he will run as running mate with Obama, if he gets the nomination.

10. NEGATIVE
I'm researching and I want some info from backers not more insults and attacks. Super Tuesday is very near and I'm running out of time.

Look, whoever wins the nomination gets my vote in November but I want to back the best one for the primaries.

BTW mom is a Hillary die hard.

11. How else should "Face it people they all suck" be interpreted?
Edited on Fri Jan-25-08 08:27 PM by TwilightZone
Pretty clear, that. Funny how you claim you don't want "insults and attacks" in a thread that was intended as exactly that.

If you want some info from backers, start with the Greatest Page. It has tons of posts from Edwards supporters.

12. Why would you seek advice from a bunch of strangers on the internet?
Edited on Fri Jan-25-08 08:39 PM by smokey nj
Do your own research and form your own conclusions. Here's a link where you can download an 80 page PDF in which John Edwards lays out his plan. If you like what you read, vote for him; if what he says doesn't appeal to you then choose another candidate.

8. Perhapse you're looking for a vision of a memory instead of
a real live person. JFK wasn't that well liked during the campaign, and a lot of what FDR did had nothing to do with what he campaigned on. I remember JFK as a wonderful man. I was only 20 at the time, and most of the young girls were in love with the handsome, young, and very wealthy new President. But although it wasn't played up at the time, you can't forget Jack had way more than "a Monica" in the WH during his presidency! The public all knew it, but it was never hammered by the media back then, so he got away with it.

I'm no history expert by any stretch, but I'm positive there are lots of nasty things about each of those past Presidents that have been forgotten over time.

Try to be fair to each candidate. Do your research and find which one you agree with more than the others, then that's the one you vote for. NOONE with a brain agrees with any one candidate on everything. Give them a fair chance. After all, they really are human too.

13. Sorry man-
My BS detector goes haywire every time I see one of your posts. May I suggest a book? Howard Zinns, Peoples History of the US.

Now, if you really want to know about the candidates, as you say, have you gone to their websites? Have you ask for anything other than one liners, as pointed to in an earlier post. If you want to be taken seriously here, I'd recommend you stop with the childish and transparent attacks, and ask real questions.

But something tells me you won't.
