I got a call from the Edwards campaign askeing if I could

contribute some more. I was quite generous last year. I told them that I could not but than agreed on a more modest amount.

But after I hung up I was thinking that Edwards is a millionaire several times over and that it is really strange for someone like me to give him a modest amount of money.

I have been thinking something similar about my alma mater, with a very generous endowment where, again, my modest contribution must be a drop in the bucket.

he depends on the people and I'm going to give a little more--not a huge amount but something I can live with and hopefully they can get enough people to just give a little more. I'm hoping a solid showing in SC will help in that regard.
