Regardless of who wins the Democratic nomination....
...I am voting for that ticket. Whether it's Clinton, Edwards or Obama (alphabetical, not preference), I will vote for that individual. The goal of this election is to remove as many Republicans from office as we possibly can and to break the unholy trinity of social, economic and foreign policy conservatives into as many pieces as possible so they never see the light of day again. To paraphrase the odious Grover Nordquist, we need to marginalize and shrink later day conservatism and the Republican party to the point where it can be drowned in a toilet bowl.

Then flushed.

2. This is the best post I've seen in months about what we need to do
I, too, will vote for any Dem nominee. However, what you said about the right wing is absolutely vital to the survival of the people of the U.S.:

........"need to marginalize and shrink later day conservatism and the Republican party to the point where it can be drowned in a toilet bowl."

And on the topic, the Dems in Congress are refusing to do that. We need Dems that WILL do that.

We can't hope to push for a more progressive agenda if we don't win in the first place. The presidency and a solidly-Democratic House and Senate are the beginning.

Recommended!
