Not one....
Concerning Rezko:

Not a single charge against Obama of a broken law.

Not a single investigation that indicates he might be involved.

Not a single charge of ethics violation.

All we have is that he knows a corrupt fundraiser.

Quite the waste of time and paper.

Ok did I miss one?

1. BO has been quite lucky, they have given him a pass.
On the other hand, if it was Clinton it would be 24/7

2. Nope. We should ask People to get their priorities straight.

And those who refuse to (ANYONE, on your own side or otherwise, who refuse to put the best interests of this country ahead of personal vendettas and childish tit-for-a-tat) should be regarded with caution, but without personal attacks, because that gives THEM power.

3. It's not necessarily the relationship, it's the handling of the situation by Obama's staff.
Edited on Sat Jan-26-08 01:03 PM by TwilightZone
If the ABC News story is accurate, Obama's staff "missed" checks from Rezko's wife and employees when they reviewed them after the story broke. In doing so, they significantly underreported the amount that needed to be returned (or, as the case may be, donated to charity.)

That's either intentional or it's gross incompetence.

Assuming the latter, the campaign needs to fire whoever is in charge of reviewing contributions, put someone reliable in charge of dealing with the situation and ensure that it's completely resolved this time.

If they continue to approach it as if it's no big deal, it will undoubtedly become one.

4. Have you looked at the list of donations...
Rezko's wifes donations totaling $4000 were all prior to 2003.

I don't see exactly why a employee working for these companies should be considered to be giving tainted money to Obama. Otherwise all donations were prior to 2004 except for one given in 2004.

The money should be returned merely to get rid of the issue for Obama, but many of these contributions could be easilly overlooked.

6. If the media can find them, shouldn't the campaign be able to?
Considering the nature of the situation, they should have gotten rid of anything that was even remotely related. That would have been the best way to defuse the situation.

5. B...b...b...b...b...ut. a picture of Hillary smiling and snuggling with Rezko surfaced.
Doesn't that mean Obama did something really wrong?
