6. Hill would make n excelent maj. leader in the Senate, and a LOT better
yhan Harry. I like Harry as a person, but he's too damn meek & mild. He seems to be only interested in getting along and not fighting back!

7. I've love to see her in a cabinet post or Supreme Court
I had never thought about S.C. until someone here suggested it a while back, and it made me think that I like Hillary best when she isn't sucked into politics/campaigns etc. She's very intelligent and hard-working. She's young enough she could have a real impact on the Supreme Court too. And how much would it bug some of the right-wingers there to have to work with her all the time ;)

12. The Democratic Wing of The Democratic Party?
Forget a progressive agenda if that happens. Clinton doesn't know how to frame the issues. Instead she triangulates policy positions. Not only on corporate issues, but also in the all-important matter of positioning the war on terror.

13. She would be great in that post.
The post requires skills she has in abundance but many of which are actually a liability in her campaign for the Oval Office.

Those two branches need different skills. She would be one of the great Senate Majority Leaders of our history. In the executive branch, she would have to spend too much time fighting spin to get much accomplished. She would be hobbled in the WH.

16. Anything would be better than Harry Reid
God, what a wimp he is! I would prefer Dodd, but I doubt anything will change. Between Pelosi & Reid , I'm beyond Disappointed.

But since she'll be president, I hope Dodd gets that job.

19. She would be extremely effective, but
Edited on Sat Jan-26-08 02:15 PM by lurky
I think her policy decisions would be more-or-less identical to Reid and Pelosi, which is my biggest worry about her, actually.

As far as getting things done, however, she would be a champion. She is an expert on working her relationships to get people to go along with her. Just look at all the unlikely endorsements she has managed to wrangle. I think she has the potential to be an LBJ on capital hill.
